Aloha, we are open daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm and are located on the waterfront of Waikiki Beach inside the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. We accept reservations & reserve a large amount of space for walk-ins. If your desired reservation is not available, please join our waitlist in person daily. Happy Hour is available daily from 3:30pm-5:00pm (excluding select holidays).

Our chef driven concept is led by the classically trained, award winning chef, Peter Merriman. Peter is a culinary pioneer and one of the founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. He has always been inspired by the people and products around him and this spirit has lead the movement to look at food in Hawaii in a new light. Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman embraces this passion! Each item on the menu demonstrates our commitment to craft and showcases high quality, socially conscious ingredients, creative preparations, and perfect execution.

We had a reservation at 3:15, arrived about 15 minutes early, and checked in the hostess booth, letting them know we were early. The hostess was very short and said you’re gonna have to wait until your reservation time because we already have a 20-minute wait. I did not anticipate getting a table early, but I was just checking in and was put off by her attitude. After that slight bit of rudeness, I was concerned about how the rest of her evening would go, but everything went perfectly. I had placed on the open table reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, and we were seated at an oceanfront table, which I was amazed by. Our servers were phenomenal, and the food and drinks were brought out in a timely manner. I was also surprised when we received two complimentary glasses of champagne with adorable roses cut in the shape of hearts and a celebration of our anniversary. Overall a fantastic evening.

Monkeypod Kitchen is a great lunchtime spot. The service and atmosphere impress. The reception was warm and on time. As to the food, the deviled eggs starter was a disappointment - you need a microscope to view the lobster. The Fish Tacos were very tasty. We could not fault the crumbed Mahi Mahi main. We'll be back :)

My 3 experiences at Monkeypod were absolutely incredible. All my food was good and well prepared, presented, and very tasty. The waitstaff was welcoming, friendly and never tried to rush me. Mahalo nui loa Monkeypod!

We had brunch with our friend from out of town. The view is so beautiful. I love the breakfast choices they have.

Great service and great view of the ocean. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. I asked for an ocean view and they accommodated my request. The food was timely and tasted delicious

Merriman is the consummate restaurateur. His approach to food, service, and dining environment has remained remarkably focused on his customers. We have experienced this since dining at his original Big Island location over thirty years ago. We have dined there and at his additional restaurants now many times since. It is impressive to me that his Monkeypod at Waikiki restaurant has all of the features of his original, albeit in a much larger venue. Here we had creative dishes like poke tacos, and long established like Mahi Mahi macadamia nut crusted. They were all outstanding and served with care. Remarkable in such a high volume setting. We always look forward to dining at his restaurants and feel fortunate to do so when visiting these lovely islands
