Our chef driven concept is lead by the classically trained, award winning chef, Peter Merriman. Peter is a culinary pioneer and one of the founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. He has always been inspired by the people and products around him and this spirit has lead the movement to look at food in Hawaii in a new light. Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman embraces this passion! Our dedication to craft also extends to our beverage program. Our 36 beers on tap are the coldest on Maui. Our reservation was for 8:00. The cornbread was so delicious, recommend trying it. Caesar salad was soggy and sloppy. Pass on this. The gnocchi was very good but rich. My kapula pork and pineapple pizza could have been warmer. It must have sat, because server said she saw it. Service was great.

I loved the vibe and the food! Thank you for the lovely table by the water, and our server was fantastic! We dined here three times during our five-night stay in Maui!

Our server Zach was great! Very knowledgeable about the menu, able to make solid recommendations for some dietary allergies, and offered local recommendations for things to do! Very quick and efficient service.

We arrived a few minutes before happy hour (great prices!) and were very lucky to snag a table view an ocean view. The staff was efficient and the service was excellent. You have to try the mai tai—so strong! Enjoyed the pizza and truffle fries, too.

Great service, our waitress was sweet. She knew all the drink selections of the top of her head and made us laugh all night.

There was hair in our food. Which can happen, but it was handled so poorly that it became a huge distraction for our family of six on our evening out.

Monkeypod was our first stop after checking in at our hotel on Kaanapali Beach. We loved it. We had a great table with a view of the water and we enjoyed watching the boats and para-sailing while we ate. Our server was knowledgeable and the live music playing in the background was a plus. I had the fish sandwich which was beautifully prepared and presented. I loved it. My husband had the ahi sandwich special and he also thoroughly enjoyed his meal. We will return each time we visit Maui! PS mai-tai's here are great.

Not a lot of plainer options for dinner as I was seeking. Ended up with the Caesar salad which was phenomenal! Love the homemade dressing. Also had pizza and banana cream pie. All were excellent! Waiter was super nice.
