Our chef driven concept is lead by the classically trained, award winning chef, Peter Merriman. Peter is a culinary pioneer and one of the founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. He has always been inspired by the people and products around him and this spirit has lead the movement to look at food in Hawaii in a new light. Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman embraces this passion! We had a late lunch and cocktails! The Lilikoi foam topped Mai Tai’s that they are famous for are absolutely amazing! Sooo delicious! We also had the fish and chips and bulgogi pork tacos! Both were delicious as well! Our server was very attentive and can’t wait to go back next time we’re in Maui!

Everything about Monkeypod was fantastic! The mai tias are amazing as well as the food. Will definitely come back next time we visit the island!

The food was just okay. The shrimp appetizer was grey and the texture was tough. The ahi tuna was a little over cooked and the green potatoes were not great. The cocktails were watered down. The old fashioned drink was more like whiskey flavored water. The only saving grace was the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, that was really good.

Food was below par. I was very surprised. We all ordered the cheeseburgers with fries. This was our last night on Maui after 14 days. We had been out every night this last week so we were on food overload. Burgers sounded good. 3 of our party ordered medium rare. Burgers all came in at well done and burnt. Fries were over cooked with dirty oil. I did not expect the quality of food to be this bad. Everyone raved about Monkeypod. Service was good the waitperson was apologetic for the fries and burgers. One of our guest sent burger back. The next one brought out was maybe medium at most. I will go back and have the fish to see if they can redeem

Akilah made our last night so memorable! She is kind and attentive. Loved getting to dine here several times on this trip ! The live music was phenomenal as well.

Best place to exist perhaps ever. Responsive service, relaxing music, and great ambiance. Will go here every trip to Maui for the rest of my life

Good food and great service. We had just arrived on Maui after a very long travel day with missed connections. The food, friendly and snappy service and walk to our resort (Westin) were exactly what we were looking for. Great experience.
