We had a great time dining for lunch during the weekend here. We had 5 kids (plus double stroller) and Felicia was more than accommodating! Felicia and staff were very helpful and my kids loved watching & tasting the cheese wheel dishes! F - friendliness: all staff were friendly & I feel Felicia went out of her way to make my family feel comfortable. A - ambience: clean and spacious R - return: we would definitely return when we come back in town. T - taste: food was delicious and watching the cheese wheel dishes being prepared while getting a history of it was very nice.

SUPERB!! We’ve eaten A LOT in Little Italy, so we don’t know why it took us so long to find our way to Monello. Probably the best ragu I’ve eaten, and husband raved about the shrimp ravioli. They make their own pasta. Need I say more? The pasta’s to die for. Good service, nice ambience, not over-priced. This will quickly become one of our go-to places.

Host was rude. Food wasn't terrible but nothing over the top. So loud. Server was great. Just over hyped I would say and nothing special

Monello is an excellent Italian restaurant. All of the dishes are delicious. I enjoy their seasonal offerings and it is always fun to hear what the pasta of the day is. They have a great drink and wine selection.

I felt like our experience at Monello was subpar compared to other restaurants that my group had during our 3 full days to SD. The service was the worst I’ve probably ever had, server was extremely inattentive and had to be called over in order to request the check and a box. The food was alright but definitely nothing I’d rave about and for that reason I don’t intend on returning to Monello. There are countless other Italian restaurants in the little Italy area of SD to try.

Never fails. Consistency in the way food is prepared and tastes. Any sort of cheese-wheel pasta is amazing. The caesar salad is amongst my favorites

Monello has a cool vibe. We went for the pasta. My husband got the papardelle noodles and they were sticking together and too thick for my liking. I tried them and just thought they were too chewy. I got the orecchiette Parmigiano Romano in the wheel with prosciutto and it was really good. They did not toss it in the cheese wheel and I think its because we sat outside. But the noodles were tender and sauce was fantastic. We had a merengue dessert that is really sweet. They only put about 6 blueberries on it and the fruit is what helps cut the sweetness so if they are reading this they really need to add more fruit to that meringue otherwise its like eating a ead of sugar and drinking it down with more seeetness. Its too much... Our server was really great so thanks Christina for a more enjoyable evening. I would give it another try and sit inside for the cheese wheel experience.
