Atlas Restaurant Group presents Monarque, a French brasserie located in Baltimore’s Harbor East neighborhood. Monarque is inspired by the French era of prosperity when culture boomed and extravagance flourished. The food menu is perfectly complemented by a beverage program with over 500 French wine labels and an extensive collection of cognac and armagnac.

Striking a balance between transporting guests to another time and place while being rooted in the present, Monarque hosts an exciting rotation of acts on stage every weekend including dancers, singers, musicians, contortionists, sword swallowers, poets and more.

Monarque welcomes guests of all ages Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday our entertainment is suited for guests 18 years of age and older, and only adults are permitted to dine.

My husband and I came here for my birthday. I loved the ambience, food, entertainment, and drinks. Our server, Sammy, was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. I would definitely go back. 10/10!

The food and drinks were uniformly excellent. For a cocktail, try the French 75 with Cognac. Our evening began before 7:00 pm on Saturday, so the entertainment was mostly a jazz ensemble, which was very good. They played old standards with improvisational flair. Other acts come out around 10:00 pm, but we only stayed for the first two. Of those, the "Queen of Hoops" was quite entertaining, and she seemed to be really enjoying herself while performing. Monarque offers an unrushed experience for all the senses. We'll return. Next time, we'll begin our evening a bit later so we can catch more of the floor show acts.

The taste of the food was mediocre. The Brussels sprouts were too charred, the steak was ok but for $79 it came with fries and was small. The braised short ribs were ok but the portion size was small again. The location is nice and the entertainment was great! I’ve been to several of Atlas Group establishments and overall maybe they’re in it for the money only and not to make repeat, happy customers.

This is a hidden gem. The ambiance is very 1920’s the food is amazing. The shows are entertaining. If it was one bad thing I’d say is the drinks were just okay.

We waited five plus minutes for the hostess to appear. She was very good however. We waited for more than ten minutes for a wait person to come to our table. She was lovely and a very good server. Our drink order went to the wrong table. We then waited another fifteen minutes for the replacement drinks. Forty minutes to receive a drink is just too long. I can’t say with certainty but I suspect the sauce with my bourguignonne dish was of commercially sourced. The restaurant did gift us complementary sparkling wine at the end of our meal due to the special occasion of us dining there that evening. Wish the review and dinner were both better.

The food was delicious and flavorful. We started with the bone marrow, which my husband enjoyed, but was a bit different for me. The added roasted fruit made it edible for me. I ordered the short ribs, which were good and my husband’s wagyu tasted even better. Do not get me wrong as they were both delicious and were accompanied with a side order of potato au gratin and corn pudding which were full of flavor. We ended the meal with a shared apple caramel tort like dessert that I would recommend
