I once named Monarch my favorite restaurant in Dallas, but our experience was highly disappointing on Sunday. The bar couldn’t make a Long Island properly and it’s apparent that there has been a change with the kitchen staff, as almost every dish ordered was extremely over-salted. The Caesar salad was embarrassingly salty to where we couldn’t finish it. The ribeye was underwhelming in flavor, the lamb chops were bland, the pasta was mediocre. We didn’t want to create a scene and ruin our guest’s birthday, but this dinner was most definitely not worth the price tag.

Food is spectacular. Ambiance seemed a bit flat but we went a little early before the crowds hit. Waiter was ok. It’s worth it for the food, for sure. Lots of good stuff to choose from and everything tasted very fresh!

Stunning views of the Dallas skyline. Extensive Wine List like I’ve never seen before. We had the Jermann Italian Pinot Grigio that was delicious with the fish appetizer and entree! The service was incredible. Highly recommend the Crudo Appetizer, scallops, tiramisu/coffee experience for dessert. One of my favorite places in Dallas! They also have a great Happy Hour with 1/2 off their seafood tower, if you can get there early enough to get a seat at the bar.

We had the best waitress that had total command of the menu and service of our table. The food was excellent and was second fiddle compared to the service. Great variety of dishes and sides. Bone in filet was awesome, risotto was great, pastas were very good. Veal chop parm was a bit greasy and not a good preparation for a nice chop. Wine list was huge, like a old war novel. The sommelier was pleasant and very knowledgeable. The view was of course fabulous. Next time I will splurge on the $150-295 menu items to really test their preparation and quality of product.

This our first time at Monarch. Everything was top notch from the service when we walked in the door to the dessert. We will definitely be back!!

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The ambience was beautiful. It was a little pricey for what you get. My girlfriend and I loved it. We’ll be going back!

This place is a nice find. Not over the top expensive and the place is running like a nice oiled machine. Seems like a lot of managers and waiters to make sure all goes smooth. Food was great... we had some fun .. staff 5 star... we will be back. Just wish parking was included :)
