This is a special occasion restaurant or us as it is expensive. That being said the steaks are delicious and prepared to perfection, service top notch and ambience intimate. We look forward o treating ourselves to a wonderful evening here when in the area

We always dine here when we stay at the Monarch. Reservations are def recommended. This time the steak was a little on the tough side. Would not expect that for $68.00. Lobster bisque was fabulous. Dessert was wonderful. Service was good. Saturday nights are always super busy. So, that can be expected. Wine list is great! We will return for sure.

For some reason the whole experience felt like one of the upgraded restaurants on a cruise ship. The staff were friendly and fairly attentive, but a little below the caliber of satff I would expect from a place where our bill approached $200/pp. The steaks were very good, but I paid extra to have mine served au poivre style. The steak was peppered, but the sauce covered only about half the steak and a little on the plate. When I asked for a little more sauce they said no problem, but would have to charge me another $6 to do it. It was our anniversary and to their credit they recognized it and gave us a free dessert. That said the free desert came after we had ordered another dessert and we were not told that a free one would be coming. The bill was presented to us before we had finished the free dessert and we paid it, but our ordered dessert had not come. When we told the waiter, he asked if we still wanted it and we said probably not, but he said he could not take it off as we had already paid. Fine, we waited a while and the dessert came cold which I do not believe was the way it was intended to be served. I'd bet a lot that the desserts are 3rd party made and heated up there to serve (with the exception of ours). Don't get me wrong, the meal was good, but this was not a top caliber steak house and the bill suggested otherwise.

Celebrated our 5th anniversary. Overall great experience. Uriah and staff did a wonderful job at making us feel special from beginning to end. Thank you FOH and the culinary team. Food was delicious.
