I was really looking forward to dining at Modern Love Brooklyn. The reviews were very positive. I can't rave about the food. It was fine; but not outstanding. We had Brussels Aioli for a starter and buffalo wings from cauliflower. That was okay. The mushroom fried chick'n dish was really good. The buffalo Mac and chews was so-so. I had read reviews about the macaroni but I did not share that information with my dinner companion. Sure enough, the macaroni was watery and tasteless. Parking was not a problem. We found street parking almost in front of the door. What was off-putting to me is that the dress code was business smart. I was flying in for an event, so went to the trouble to dress to their code. When I got there, the staff were dressed very, very casually and some of the diners came in regular shorts and sneakers. Other diners read the dress code as I did and dressed accordingly. So you can ignore the dress code. I wish I had known. I got reservations, but did not seem to need this. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon. I would go back if I were in the area but I would not make a special trip.

The people are great, down to the chefs, waiters/waitresses, and the hosts. The food is really good and at first you don’t expect it to be just because it’s vegan, but all the food was really great, it was satisfying, seasoned perfectly that towards the end we all had a really hard time naming our favorites since we all had two or three. The quality of the food, the menu selections they have are all a 10/10 honestly

We had a table of 10 and they handled us so well! Food was great and loved by vegans and non vegans. Appreciated the gf dessert options too. Great food, great service! Thanks for making our bday celebration so enjoyable!

Fabulous meal from beginning to end! Took my vegetarian son here for his birthday and we all loved our meal!! Big portions of creative food at reasonable prices.

My daughter used to be vegan, now vegetarian but moved to Brooklyn from North Carolina this year for college. We visit Modern Love every time I visit her. I'm not vegan or vegetarian and I love it. I am a chef with 30 plus years' experience and I have never been disappointed with anything.

The food was seasoned perfectly, tasty, great-sized portions, appropriate texture and each dish was it was its own experience. They just kept getting better and better from app to entree to dessert! These comments from a vegan and a picky non-vegan. DELICIOUS! 🤌🏽
