Modern Barn is the place you go to spend time around a table with the people you love, a place to call home. Modern Barn welcomes you to enjoy its delicious American fare, friendly service, and an unparalleled cozy atmosphere. Our menu consists of classic comfort dishes with a modern flair.

Modern Barn can be experienced in many ways. Spend an evening in our wine room featuring 175 bottles of wine, 100 available by the glass, enjoy our vast collection of craft beers and contemporary cocktails; and dinner after a day on the slopes or golf course. Winner of the 2021 Wine Spectator Award.

This was a gift while we were on our mini-moon. We now want to come back up just so we can go to this restaurant again. It was absolutely amazing. I would never be able to reccomend it enough.

We ate dinner at the Modern Barn, and it was great. The food was outstanding although a bit pricey. The service and atmosphere were great. Look forward to eating there again.

The space itself was definately charming and the thin staff were nice and hardworking, but the overall experience was underwhelming for the price.

Very first visit to Modern Barn- it was fantastic! Our waitress was awesome! So friendly & she gave us plenty of time to decide on our drinks, appetizers & dinner selections. There were so many great things on the menu it was very hard to choose! Everything was delicious. The lobster sliders were excellent & so adorable. The stuffed sole & shrimp scampi were perfect. The presentation of the food was like works of yummy art. We will be back on our next visit.

Food is always delicious. Excellent service from Jenna as usual. Great wine recommendations. Our favorite restaurant in Bethel.

Don’t miss this gem! Great place that we would have missed out on but found it on Open Table! Redone barn- cool vibes. Great drinks/wine and the food was fantastic! Definitely recommend the lobster rangoons, stuffed sole with crabmeat and risotto, and the clam chowder with bread. So delicious!

My children & I love dining here! The food is great, the mixed drinks are delightful and the help is courteous and friendly. It is sad to me though, that one cannot get a simple cup of tea or coffee! Kudos for great service! A.H.

Enjoyable restaurant in Bethel with delicious food and great drinks! Nice atmosphere and ambience. Would visit again if traveling to the area.

Imaginative cuisine, lovely service, praiseworthy re-fit of an old industrial barn. Very fancy wines at top dollar, but also lots of choices at reasonable prices. Full bar for cocktails, fresh oysters from the Maine coast. Even with most of the tables taken on a Sat night, was not terribly noisy. Bethel a lovely destination town with inns, cafes, shops, churches, and all the walking/hiking/skiing anyone could want.
