Mark and Mary Shapley began this dining tradition in 1985 and soon became one of the premier restaurants in the state. After taking a break to raise their two girls, they have returned with the same great food and service everyone came to know. Great steaks and seafood along with their famous tamales are still the main attraction along with an impressive bar and wine offerings. Please come by and see for yourself how special this restaurant is. We were recently voted 'Best Fine Dining' by the readers of Mississippi Magazine

Staff was very attentive and brought out orders without delays. Steak Bites, Filet with crawfish sauce and tamales were all excellent

We had a special dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Each employee greeted us warmly and offered congratulatory remarks to my wife. The service was excellent only surpassed by the delectable meal. Don’t miss out on the lemon pie for dessert!!

It had been 6 years since we’d been to MM Shapley’s as the first restaurant in Jackson we enjoyed before moving to the area. And 6 years later, it didn’t disappoint. My NY Strip was outstanding, my wife’s Filet was equally outstanding, our tamale appetizer was great and the home-made Parmesan-Peppercorn salad dressing, Au-Gratin potatoes, and creamed spinach were excellent. Service was fantastic with everything timed perfectly and the owner personally checked on our satisfaction. I regret taking 6 years to try MM Shapley’s again - it was wonderful then and even better now!

The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was very nice, quiet but not too quiet. My service was good. My waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and polite. Overall a great dinning experience.
