Mark and Mary Shapley began this dining tradition in 1985 and soon became one of the premier restaurants in the state. After taking a break to raise their two girls, they have returned with the same great food and service everyone came to know. Great steaks and seafood along with their famous tamales are still the main attraction along with an impressive bar and wine offerings. Please come by and see for yourself how special this restaurant is. We were recently voted 'Best Fine Dining' by the readers of Mississippi Magazine

Phenomenal dining experience! Service is outstanding, food is tasty with plenty to bring home, and the ambiance is always warm. For a great dining experience, Shapley’s is the place to go! We celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with the Shapley family of servers, and they always make the occasion extra special.

Reservations at this establishment are not required, but preferred. The ambiance is a quiet setting. The noise level is at a low minimum. The staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and the wait time for a server was not long at all. The food quality was good, as were the drinks. The crème brûlée and lemon ice box pie desserts were superb!!!

This is our “go to” spot for celebrating special occasions or just treating ourselves to a nice night out! From the host/hostess, the expediters, the servers, everyone you come in contact with shows the epitome of courtesy. Their steaks are the best I’ve ever enjoyed anywhere, the redfish off the charts! So thankful for local owners who consistently show their commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience! Highly recommend for a memorable evening!

We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and were seated soon afterwards. Our server greeted us, explaining the specials and took our drink orders which were delivered quickly. Food orders were taken and delivered in a timely manner. My son got the redfish entree which was very tasty; my wife ordered grilled tuna which was a bit overdone; my filet was tasty but more medium well than medium rare. A good meal but not as good as when we were there in the spring.

Food was just OK, fish was ordered medium came medium raw, sent back and was still runny in the middle. Steak was simply ok to good, as was the creme bruelet. Nice place, owner is crazy nice, server and visit were just OK for this level of restaurant

Easy to make online reservation. Walked in and was immediately seated. Service, perfection.. food, perfection.. cocktail, perfection.. Love that Mark & Mary walk around and speak to everyone. Love the family atmosphere. Could not have been a more perfect date night!
