    The place was pretty empty for a Saturday evening. After our experience, I understood why. Food was good but a little on the pricey side. For the price, I expected exceptional service. Everything seemed to take longer than it should have. Our server seldom checked on us and never refilled my drink (iced tea) once in the hour+ we were there. What made that worse is that a lot of the staff seemed to have quite a bit of down time since most of them were just standing around. My wife and I will not be going back.

    This was our second time here within about six weeks. Both times the service was incredibly slow. It took nearly an hour to receive our entrees and the potatoes were cold, the green beans were barely cooked and the fish entree was lukewarm warm at best. My wife’s lobster tails were barely cooked and cold. Either the kitchen is totally messed up or the food was sitting in the kitchen waiting for a server to bring it to our table. We noticed that several times there were four people standing behind the reception counter doing absolutely nothing. This was happening while we were trying to get the attention of the wait staff.

    As a Landrys club member I try to use my awards at one of their local restaurants. This Mitchell’s Fish Market restaurant is poorly managed and has become a pattern of being overbooked! Never seated on time with a confirmed reservation- service is extremely slow for drinks , meal , etc. Server said kitchen was backed up after waiting 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. In addition, we were seated in the bar area which was extremely noisy. Three strikes now for this Landrys restaurant 👎

    We'd been here several times in the past, but not recently. We still like the venue, and the restaurant is in a good state of upkeep for its age. The hostesses were friendly and prompt. I liked our waitress. Her demeanor was good, and she was also friendly and knew the offerings well. I think she and seemingly the kitchen staff were overburdened though. It took too long for our entrees to arrive, and when they did, the seafood on my plate was all overcooked and dry. The flavor was decent, and as we'd been there a while already, I chose not to make an issue of it. Our waitress was too busy to check back until we were finished too. The prices, while somewhat high, would be acceptable if the quality was there. Unfortunately, it was not this visit. We may try again in hopes this was an off night, but there are better choices in the area we'd be more inclined to patronize.

    This location has gone down a bit since I lived here before…the food is ok, a little salty and in general the restaurant feels “sticky” and smells like old carpet.

    My filet mignon was rather tough and grizzly. The au gratin potatoes were awful. Had to ask for mashed instead. I’ve had better steak for half the price at Texas Roadhouse. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

    We had a great experience. The food and staff were both great. Our waitresses and manager were very professional, friendly and helped to ensure we had a great experience. Looking forward to coming back.

    We waited over 10 minutes before being greeted by our waitress. Then we waited 15 minutes for our drinks and over 20 minutes for our appetizer. The waitress was not friendly at all, acted like we were an inconvenience. My steak was way over cooked, they brought a 2nd steak that had been wrapped in foil and steamed to expedite the cooking. This made the steak grey and very unappetizing. It was also drowning in butter I’m assuming to mask the grey color. The manager then offered to cook a 3rd steak wrapped in foil and I said absolutely not. She then said she’d comp it because I didn’t like it. But, I really would’ve loved it if cooked properly not steamed in foil. They said that would take too long. Also, my lobster tail was cold and so salty it was inedible. Will never go back, do not recommend.

    This use to be our favorite fresh seafood restaurant. The last five times we attend, we notice the chef’s is less skilled because of the quality and preparation of food. Service is of lower standard. This is unfortunate because it use to be a 5 star restaurant.
