Not sure what happened. We usually dine here a few times a year as it’s an hour drive but like the meals offered and the interior has just been updated and really relaxing. This review is mostly about service. Not sure if she was new to the industry or having a bad day but it seemed as if we did not exist. Party of 3. Normal protocol on intro. Asked what we were drinking but no drink menu- besides wine in back page (not wine drinkers). Ordered what we knew they could make. 15 minutes to bring drinks and said there was a mix up at bar ?? We had to ask for water even though empty glasses were on table and ask for refills when she did stop(only once). The only time stopping was to bring a drink or food and the bill of course. Never checked to see if food was prepared correctly or if things were good. Managers usually make the rounds at this place and he never left the kitchen area. Food was good and fresh as expected but found quite interesting that you get 3 asparagus stick with your meal. Maybe the restaurant industry is fighting inflation by reducing portions. I ordered a salad with my dinner and that was brought out after my main meal WT? No way to get it early because we never saw her working other tables As stated this is a server issue which falls on manager on duty. This bill should have been $250 or more with correct service but came to just over $160. Lot of money to leave on the table because someone didn’t work properly. We will be back as we are Landry members and enjoy this location just hope the service is addressed.

Could be better. For some reason we expected to receive a treat of my wife’s birthday and no body other than front door host mentioned that.

I went there with a friend to celebrate her birthday, We were there for an early dinner. We were not rushed. We wanted time to catch up first and did finally order. The food was excellent and came a little faster than expected, but not so fast that we didn't have time to enjoy it. Our waitress gave us plenty of time to talk before dessert. As the restaurant got busier it was noisier, but still quiet enough to talk. We had a great meal and a delightful time at Mitchell's. That has been one of the reasons I continue to go there.

Love this restaurant however not sure what happened to the crab I ordered not only was it over cooked and stuck to the legs and not easy to remove but it tasted like someone spilled pounds of salt in the pot because it was so salty I could barely eat half of it

Once again, Mitchells comes through. We sat at the bar (by choice). Kylie waited on us. We asked for her to take time serving our 3 course meal (a steal at $39...). She was great! Art, the manager, also kindly stopped by to check on us. (We're somewhat regulars)... Still the best fish place in mid-michigan by far...

Took my daughter on her birthday. She wanted crab legs but it wasn’t available because of some type of over-salting issue. I ordered an Ahi Tuna entree and it was heavily salted and barely edible. Something was definitely wrong in the kitchen that day. We booked the reservation for a birthday special event, but Mitchell’s apparently doesn’t offer any ice cream or cake. Definitely don’t recommend this place for a special occasion.

Rarely do I write such a negative review of a restaurant but our food was not good. Our Caesar salad had way too much vinegar in the dressing—couldn’t eat it. My husband’s sea bass tasted very “fishy”, a sign of being too old. He couldn’t eat it. The manager took the sea bass off the bill. My crab cake was good. On the other hand, the newly updated interior is lively. Our waitress was very good.

Top notch in terms of quality and service. We had Carly as our waitress and she was funny and personable and made our experience even better. The food was made to perfection and was without a doubt the highest of quality.
