Mister Oso opened in Denver’s RiNo Arts District in the fall of 2019 and immediately received recognition as one of Thrillist’s places to “Find the Best Mexican in Denver” two years in a row, as well as being named as one of 16 “Best Restaurants in Denver” by The Infatuation. Our team continues to explore the playful and flavorful menu at Mister Oso with rotating taco dishes, Peruvian cebiche, and crudo, as well as crave-worthy vegetarian offerings.

The vibrant energetic atmosphere lends itself perfectly to a night out with friends or casual date night. The transportive vibes are enhanced with the tropical plants and decor as the seasonal menu and agave-spirits cocktail bar afford a micro vacation from the bustle of RiNo, Our inventive Non-Alcoholic Agua Fresca cocktail program ensures that everyone gets to enjoy a delicious, hand-crafted beverage.

The food and service were excellent but the noise level was too high to have a normal or even loud conversation. The waitress was very good, but her voice was quiet and at the same pitch as the background noise, making it very difficult to understand her. If you want good food and drinks and don't care about conversation, this is a very good bet.

This food is delicious! The guacamole is amazing, we had it with a margarita. The birria and mojo tacos were also amazing. Everything is so well seasoned. The staff is friendly and fun. I will be going back!

Great service and flavorful food. The music was varied and upbeat. At a table for 8, we could even hear each other!

Mr. Oso is awesome. They are super accommodating with great service and wonderful food. My only comment would be it’s a necessity to have ketchup for the kids chicken tenders!

Enjoyed this restaurant very much! The corn ribs are outstanding, as is the spicy pork cooked in coconut. Very tasty menu and very nice wait staff. The inside decor could be very cute by using live plants rather than artificial. Plastic plants, when natural environments are so needed in our sensibilities is a turn off and offends the organic vibe the restaurant might want to convey. Aside from this, I did love the food and appreciate the wait staff.

Creative menu. The chicken empanadas and the BBQ Pork Belly tacos were incredible. Really enjoyed the coconut rice also

My partner and I loved this restaurant enough to both over-indulge, and promise each other we’d be back soon. The menu is small enough to not overwhelm, and varied enough to not be too short or boring. All items, from the appetizers through the desserts, have their simple and distinct elements. Combinations like a drizzle of molé on the fundido, or salty smoked carnitas with fried plantain taco, or a little lime zest with the churro really put a “not-over-the-top” spin on items we loved. A few items we didn’t love: a $14 house marg that is mostly ice (but still delish) and a 20% automatic gratuity with an additional prompt asking for 7-20% more during final payment. But, our service was great and we’ll go back.

Great meal! We had the guac, queso, birria and coconut shrimp tacos and some margaritas. Everything was yummy.
