Located in the landmarked former Highland Park Soda Fountain Building in Dallas, Mister Charles is Duro Hospitality’s most ambitious restaurant and bar. With irreverent takes on indulgent French and Italian dishes, elevated cocktails, rare wines, opulent over the top design and soaring 38-ft. ceilings, Mister Charles is redefining Dallas’ dining and tippling scene.

Located at 3219 Knox St., Mister Charles is open for dinner seven days a week.

Mister Charles s'est réapproprié les locaux d'un ancien « soda fountain » et a dévoilé une salle époustouflante avec son sol noir et blanc, ses colonnes ouvragées et ses lustres en cristal. Such an excellent meal last night! Told them it was our Anniversary and they went over the top with celebrations. Started with a free glass of champagne! It’s an expensive meal but really a special environment between the service and unique food options. Don’t miss out!

Came here based on a recommendation from a blog “OneSmallBlonde” as we were in town for a work trip. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, temperature was just right. Our waiter and the entire wait staff were incredible, always available for questions, constantly and promptly filling up water, clearing dishes and wiping the table. Waiter was very good at describing dishes making recommendations and overall very helpful. Food was very very good, definitely lived up to the hype. Loved the Canapés, the Fois Gras and the Caviar Egg Salad were the perfect little bites to start a meal. Had the Wellington for dinner and shared it. It was perfect size for two, the beef was perfectly cooked and had some smokiness to it, puff pastry was nice and crispy but light, and the Au Jus was rich and delicious. Would come back for sure, wish we had room for dessert!

My husband and I enjoyed our wedding anniversary dinner at Mister Charles, it was exceptionally enchanting…what a night! Mister Charles “checked all the boxes” Don’t delay, make your reservation today! You won’t regret it…in fact you’ll likely frequent the restaurant for more than special occasions. Enjoy!

Mr Charles was awesome! I recommend it to everyone. It’s more of a special occasion restaurant because of the price but a place everyone should go for a birthday, date or anniversary!

The appetizer with octopus was great. It was very tender, and the sauce was lightly spicy. The pasta was al dente and great. Texas short rib Wellington was amazing. The mashed potato went very well with the Wellington. The portion would be enough for 3 people. Banana semifreddo baked alaska had great presentation and taste. One can feel instant coolness, not like ice cream, and sweet banana flavor. Overall, it was great experience. The building interior has light and dark side. Both side gives classic vintage atmosphere.

Had awesome experience again. Pretty much perfect evening with regards to service, food and ambience. Only thing for old folks like us the music was pretty loud which made it difficult to even listen to the server at times. But yeah I love that place.

Fun time. Great drinks and cocktails. Would love to see something fresh and crisp on the menu to offset all the heavy flavors and textures.

This is a truly outstanding restaurant. I had the Wagyu NY Strip, which is presented sliced (love that) and with a decanter of au jus that your server will offer to pour over the meat (I accepted). One of the best steaks I've had in the past year... and I am picky and have eaten at some of the best. My date had the Halibut and it was to die for. Perfectly cooked, no fishy taste whatsoever it practically melted in your mouth. Perfect ambience IMO, not as loud as some but not quiet, either. It was packed, of course and should be. I will definitely go here again.

If it's a dinner out or a special occasion, I would recommend Mister Charles. It was a great fine dining experience that very, very few restaurants do. The service was consistently polite and attentive throughout the experience. From the food and drink recommendations and the elevated level of presentation as the courses were brought out, the service was outstanding. Each one of the different courses of food (it was hard to decide, it all sounded so good) was absolutely delicious. Mister Charles says their food is an "irreverent take on the classics" and everything we ate was an interesting way to combine flavors that resulted in amazing food. My wife and I are looking forward to going back.
