Located on Mission Street between Ocean Ave & 7th Ave, in Carmel California. Mission Bistro Restaurant is owned by Shaheen Alnuaimi. Our history-rich location is warm, charming, and above all cozy. We offer brunch, lunch, dinner, local, and import wines. Chef Matt Zimny sources from Monterey and Santa Cruz County farms and ranches with the goal of serving what is fresh and currently available. At Mission Bistro we do Seafood and Steaks right. Cheers!

    You review the menu from their website, when you get there non of the dishes from the online menu are on the actual menu. The waiter was afraid to talk. If they have specials they won’t tell you. You have to ask, very strange. Very noisy, it was like being in a cafeteria.

    Our party of 9 were delighted to find our table ready early in a private room with a warm welcome and stellar service. Menu choices all wonderful with excellent timing and presentation. Our evening included celebrating an 18th birthday with a complementary lighted candle desert before the oh-so-rich chocolate mousse and adffogato service. Cannot wait to return for a repeat experience!

    Hostess was extremely sweet and we felt welcomed immediately. The food was good- loved the sausage the most. We We were able to make a same day reservation which saved time for us to enjoy the town.

    The steak is way more raw than we wanted and the sea bass is not completely cooked. I guess they are in so rush, but based on the price we paid ($52 for steak), after we asked them cooked the steak a little bit more, still pretty much the same, so not going back for sure.

    The mussels and crab cakes are a wonderful starter. The burger is a fantastic deal. I was able to sit inside with my dog. Service was outstanding. This was my second visit and plan on returning again.

    Service was excellent, wagyu beef with pasta and bouillabaisse with tomato saffron broth were outstanding. Unfortunately doesn't have a full bar :-(
