Though the dining room is lit low and shows the simple elegance of white tablecloths, there’s a certain home-style vibe to Mirabella Italian Cuisine & Bar that you’d have a hard time finding at other Chicago temples to red meat. The prices are somewhat more modest, too, and at Mirabella Italian Cuisine & Bar, you can enjoy some classic apps, a very good bowl of pasta, and a well-prepared steak, with wine, for less price and just as much enjoyment as you could expect at many downtown steak joints.

The service and the food couldn’t be better!! We were greeted at the door with a handshake by the host. The server also wanted us to introduce ourselves to him. It was adorable and very genuine. I had the chicken Marsala and it was the best chicken I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this place!

A great neighborhood old-school Italian restaurant that you just can't beat stopping at. Huge portions and wonderful service making you feel like your part of the family

Hidden little gem in plain view. Very welcoming attentive staff. Easy to get to by car or public transportation. Food was great, and did not disappoint from the fresh pesto laden caprese salad to the flavorful country style rigatoni. Good wines. Capped off with outstandingly refreshing watermelon gelato, who knew ! Make this your next dinner out or even after a Cubs game.

The servers are wonderful, always greeted with a great smile. The appetizer grilled calamari was fantastic, that sauce is literally my favorite! The dinner salad is nothing to write home about, but my son loved his linguine with clam sauce. My husband and I always share the chicken and peppers, delicious, very oily (I even asked for easy oil) but I guess that’s how they do it. The cottage fries that come with the meal were stale, make sure to ask for fresh and crispy. Great neighborhood spot!

Nice atmosphere, good staff. The tortellini was excellent, the arrabiatta was very spicy, so unless you like it hot, go with another selection. The tiramassu was great

First time here last night. Terrific food and service. We had various pastas and they were all cooked perfectly al dente. Large but not over the top portions. Soups or salad come with every entree, both were fresh and flavorful. Ordered one steak and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Good wine list. Prices very reasonable. Glad I discovered this neighborhood gem. Will be back soon.

Hits and misses across the menu. The octopus and ribeye didn't seem very fresh and were chewy/tough. Salads and desserts were great. Bread was fresh.
