Our head chef Andrew Campbell fuses contemporary and traditional British cooking and adds an appealing local twist. Andrew carefully selects the best regional, seasonal ingredients, while supporting British farmers, fishermen and artisan producers.

The restaurant itself has handsome vaulted ceilings and original oak beams, a classic look that’s complemented by a modern, easy-going ambience. Drop in for an amazing Full English, a leisurely lunch or an intimate dinner. Whatever the occasion, we can help you celebrate in style and have a choice of private dining spaces available. In the summer, you can eat outside on the terrace or in the gardens. Dogs (and their owners) are welcome in the bar area of the Old Swan across the road.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! Booked an October spa retreat here in advance and on arrival, after travelling all the way from London, I was turned away as they had messed up their booking system and over-booked the spa. I had to return all the way to London without any spa services and with a weekend away with my girlfriend completely ruined. When I subsequently complained, I was arrogantly told they could not offer me any compensation and they also lied that I had received complementary drinks. They even implied I had fabricated the events to cover up their own SHOCKLINGLY AWFUL service. This was the worst customer service I have received from a hotel and the manager, Beverley Molmans, was exceptionally rude and unprofessional in handling my complaint. I strongly urge you to avoid this TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE hotel and restaurant.

We chose to stay at the Old Swan and Minster to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were very pleased with the offer which was even better when we our room was upgraded to a suite. This room and facilities were very high quality and spacious. The staff were very welcoming, keen to help and kept all areas immaculate. The setting is delightful - lovely place to rest and relax, especially when the weather is warm. We will definitely return, just hope the weather is as good next time.

We were expecting a really good meal here but it was extremely disappointing. There was a weeding on so we think that took priority but if the hotel cannot cope with a wedding and dinner guests then the hotel should close for the wedding. We had to go elsewhere for dessert as there was nothing at all on the menu that we wanted to try. A very disappointing evening.

Beautifully situated and very peaceful. We like the idea of being dog friendly. Have stayed here in the past and eaten with you several times, all thoroughly enjoyable. The last visit however was spoiled by the slow service outside from the younger members of staff. We had driven from Bournemouth and ordered one coffee and one tea in the bar. When it finally arrived it was taken to some other guests first and we only had one small jug of hot milk, no cold milk for the tea ! When our friends arrived we moved outside to eat but we then became invisible! Food is excellent please don't spoil it

Ideal restaurant for both formal and casual dining, location next to Minster Mill and the river Windrush makes the whole experience just wonderful. Although the menu was interesting, there was a limited choice.

Delicious food in a perfect setting outside on a beautiful day in the English countryside. Due to an event, the service was a little slow but ultimately for a laid back relaxed lunch it worked out. It was a memorable lunch that will be remembered by all - quintessentially English. Lovely!

We really enjoyed our meal here. Everything we ordered was delicious. A good selection of wines, and the service was good, but discreet. We would go back again when visiting the area in the future.

We thought that the menu was not very exciting, and were less than impressed when the apple ingredient of one meal, featuring pork, just wasn't there, and the only response we received when this was mentioned was - 'I'll tell chef'. As we ate elsewhere during our stay, and again at the Old Swan on our final night (when my otherwise delicious plaice proved not to have been cleaned properly and ejected nasty brown goo onto my plate as I turned it over!) we felt that the menus elsewhere in nearby inns were both more appealing and about 20% cheaper overall. The Swan also doesn't list all of the ingredients served in its meals, and the waitress didn't tell us that dishes were fully garnished when we specifically asked about potatoes etc, causing us to buy unnecessary vegetable sides at £3.50 each.

This was recommended to me as somewhere for a surprise occasion for my wife. It is magical (the weather was superb! which helped). The situation by the banks of the Windrush meant we could sit outside in a peaceful garden and just enjoy the ambiance of a quiet Oxfordshire village and stroll down the river. Staff very obliging and helpful and food well prepared and presented. We were there for lunch so cannot comment on eating in the restaurant although it looked lovely inside and the menu is the same so would have been just as happy in what looked to be a smart, cosy environment. We visited on a Monday lunchtime - I guess it will be more populated at a weekend. We will return as we just love Minster Lovell!!
