First time going. The decor is really lovely and inviting. The waiters need training on how to handle food when placing on table. The seating isn’t the most comfortable. The food was ok but it wasn’t amazing. The curry was too salty and the calamari was just full of batter and no fish. The drinks were lacking alcohol. Overall I think it’s over priced for the food. The music at one point was too loud and the levels kept fluctuating which was really annoying as you couldn’t chat to hear the other person.

Everything was very good, however, the service was very poor. We felt we were hurried all night long. Asks us to order starters & mains together and then parts of the mains came first !!! It was not that busy either so did not understand the rush

Minoa is a beautiful restaurant with a lively ambience. There was a large group booking on the day so was a bit noisy but pleasant. The food was incredible and each dish we ordered was as good as the last. We ordered the prawn and spinach dumplings, the chicken bao, california roll, calamari, noodles with chicken, jasmine rice and lamb. The lamb was very surprising as we don't usually see lamb on a menu serving Japanese cuisine but it was our favourite dish and we still think about it! One thing that could have been better was that we ordered more than we could stomach so asked for the rice, noodles and lamb to be packed and the waitress told us they had run out of boxes. I'm not sure how that could possibly be allowed to happen in a busy restaurant and you wouldn't just order in bulk but that was very disappointing considering we left almost full bowls of food of those three dishes. The bill was quite pricey coming up to £175 so some takeaway boxes would have been appreciated. Otherwise we would definitely come back, perhaps with our own takeaway boxes next time!

Overall fantastic. Every dish I had was tasty and flavoursome. The service was second to none and atmosphere was calm and chilled. Will definitely return and recommend.

My friend has been raving about this place since she visited with a group of friends. As a belated birthday treat for me she took me to Minoa, let's just say I have to go back. Food excellent, service excellent and ambience brilliant.

Dragon roll was good however Hakka Prawn and egg noodles and Fried Rice with chicken and egg lacked lots of flavour. It was very dry and had no taste to it at all. Made waitress aware.

Hi This is my second time in this fancy restaurant the restaurant is very nice fancy but pricey. The food is very nice my kids loved it. My only bad saying is the waiter did not give us enough menus to look at for the main meal she took the menu, leaving one when we are five people. The customer service needs to improve because it let's the beautiful restaurant down.by the customer service team.myself and my famiky love the restaurant I hope next time I come it improves .

Good afternoon Thank you for leaving this feedback. I have discussed with my waiters internally. It is common practice to remove menus when food is ordered to make space on the table for your food to be delivered. We left 1 menu for your table and did offer more when it came to ordering your main courses Thanks Minoa Team

Decor was great, service from Hiraa was terrific, she was very positive, attentive and helpful. Food was nice, some things were too crispy and I would have liked more variety of flavours. Overall a good choice.

This is the first time i have been to this restaurant since its opened, i was recommended by loads of my friends to come here. as it was my aunty and uncles wedding anniversary and my nephew's birthday i thought i treat them barring in mind it would be a affordable night. the food and service was great .. however i feel its was very expensive and overrated.. unfortunately i would not revisit sue to the price.

We have visited the city pavilion Indian restaurant (Panas) in the past and so this was the first visit to the new restaurant in the building.. The venue itself looks amazing and very instagramable, the food was nice but felt overpriced for Essex, we was sat down right at the front next to what looked like a bar but turned out to be a Dj booth an hour into our sitting. The music was too loud and we felt we were shouting at each other, rather than having a pleasant conversation. It’s one I may visit again in the future but for the price you’ll probably head into London instead. Overall satisfied.

Good afternoon Thank you for leaving this review. On the note of the sound in the restaurant, we do have a Live DJ set every Friday & Saturday, meaning the sound is louder than normal. If you do wish to be sat in a quieter seat, or have an issue, let one of the staff know and we'd be more than happy to move guests to a quieter table in the restaurant.
