Definitely was a nice spot & enjoyed my time there without a doubt. The only reason I’m not giving a full 100% is the food options are limited but I also understand cause Minami has a theme. The server in charge of my table made life soo easy being a great customer service & awesome experience… Thanks once again

Several things to note: - It seemed like the host wasn’t exactly sure which seatings were available (although 30% of restaurant was still empty). She then chose to seat us (party of 2) on a 6 top when there were 2 other 4 tops available… - grill station took 45-mins to line up. Once reaching to the front, there was no beef left. - Because my wife and I didn’t want to lose our spot in the line, we essentially took turns eating at the table, while the other stood in line. Then to keep each other company, we then started eating, while just standing in the line. - it is appreciated that the servers/server assistants are walking around with canapés, but the route they take typically aims toward only half of the dining room (the booth area). As there were no limits on how many per person can take, it often leaves with not much coming to the other half of the dining room. Hence, we felt like we just got full from rice (sushi). Goods: - Aburi sushi tasted as they typically do and essentially no line up for that. - servers were nice, staff was optimistic. - Food overall tasted fine. Overall, I am not sure if minami can handle such an operation (mainly the grill food part). It may have felt more worth it if there were more varieties of items, while waiting for the grill food or at least cutting down on the wait time. I would say majority of the dining experience felt like standing and waiting for food.

Been to Minami before and loved it so we were super excited to check out their AYCE grill/sushi lunch special. We went for their second week of hosting this special and was disappointed with how it was ran. We didn’t expect one person at the bbq grill and one person torching the sushi. Since we came as a couple, we had one person line up for each station. The line for the bbq took over 30 minutes (we had an earlier slot) and by time we got a beef skewer (we were limited to one skewer each), the aburi sushi got cold — so it was difficult to plan out when to line up. On top of that, they had passed canapés and it seemed like they purposely skipped us because we had full plates so we only got one oyster and one Minami roll each. I wished we would’ve been warned that it wasn’t an AYCE where we would order to the table. I feel like this would’ve made the experience worth. The server was friendly and the food was great, when it wasn’t cold

Both the service, ambiance and the food was outstanding plus we noticed many asian diners enjoying their meals as well but we found the entree portions on the small side. Maybe that's the Japanese way. In any case the food was well presented and the service was spot on.
