The restaurant is on the bay beneath a giant pile of condo/hotel rooms. Is this it? Are we here? Very unassuming. No glitz. I would call the atmosphere gentle and kind with a hint of tiki bar without the tiki. I'll go with 'a hidden gem'. My friend had the mussels appetizer and greek salad. Both excellent. I had the baked brie appetizer which was served with apricot goo and thinly sliced apples. It was spectacular. We each ordered the medium sized Coconut Lobster. One of them alone could have fed an army. I was expecting something more like Thom Ka Gai but this wasn't that at all. Delicious but far too rich. I think this dish would be better served as an appetizer because this was like if lobster were a giant white cake. My side-dishes were absurdly good. No afterthought there. Best plantain I've ever had. And I have no idea what they did to the baked potato (off-hand I'd say it tasted like they mixed the potato with chives and boursin then processed it into astonishing lightness. I would eat at Mim's again in a heartbeat. But next time I'd get the small lobster.

Beautiful ocean front table for two greeted us when we arrived. Baked Lobster and New York Strip was well prepared and delicious. Espresso martinis were ok but the Pussers Painkiller was tasty. Noise levels were very high for an outdoor venue (lots of Happy Birthday songs!). Overall a good experience just a little pricey.

I would not suggest ordering the pasta dishes with seafood and you will not find much seafood in the dish. For the price point the amount of food is not good.

Great seafood, but service was slow, wine was not good, potato was cold and bread platter we ordered was basically 6 small pieces of bread. Usually have a great experience but was a little disappointed this time.

Not the same Mims! We used to think this was the best meal/experience on the island and we might not go back. My wife’s tuna was overcooked as was my meal. Still loved the sautéed calamari.

Mim’s is a must if you’re in the St. Thomas area. My steak was cooked to perfection, the veggie of the day were delightfully crispy and my husband’s coconut curry lobster was fantastic! Our server, Bubbles, is exceptional! We go to Mim’s every time we are in St. Thomas USVI!

The staff and even the diners were so friendly. Everyone is just smiling and in great mood. Could be because of how amazing the food is. 6 of us and we got 5 different entrees and not 1 complaint. Would love to go back if we have time!! THIS IS A MUST DO IF YOU COME HERE

The evening started off poor & got worse. We had a 7:30 reservation and were on time (5 minutes early) and had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated. When finally seated we were put in a corner table in the back of the restaurant. It was hot and no breeze. We had asked for an outside table. We ordered and our server disappeared. We ordered garlic bread and another server brought us plain bread. We had to flag down another server to fix this. Again, our server vanished and this was over an hour & 15 minutes. Finally one dinner of four ordered, was brought over. It was cold. Then 15 minutes later the coconut curry lobsters were brought over. The sides were cold and the lobster was just warm. We did complain to the the gentleman who filled the water glasses but no one ever came over and delivered the food. We finally saw our server when it was time for the bill. We took most of the food home so we could reheat it the next day.

We come here every year while on vacation. Seafood is fresh, service is wonderful & an amazing view (if it’s not raining. ). Looking forward to next year already.
