Mimmos Italian Village is one of the 3 original restaurants left in San Diego's historic Little Italy district. Established in 1973 in the heart of Little Italy you will find Mimmos is 3rd generation family owned and operated .

Enjoy our amazing food all homemade from scratch daily, using quality ingredients and fresh local produce .

Our popular dishes include, campanelle sausage, spicy shrimp linguine, and chicken parmesan. You can enjoy these dishes alongside a nice glass of wine or signature homemade sangria.

Mimmo's Italian Village was started by Vincenzo Mimmo Gaglio, originally from Montelepre, Sicily. Before arriving in San Diego, Gaglio sharpened his cooking skills in Tunisia, New York City, Ontario, California, and finally, San Diego.

Mimmo's seating areas consist of a charming indoor village, alfresco front and back patio seating.

Decided to book Mimmos so my friends could finally try out my fave Italian here! The bread is amazing and super addictive!! I always do the create your own pasta with Gnocchi, creamy chipotle sauce and grilled chicken!!

We ate here to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from high school. We could not have picked a better place in Little Italy. We ordered the caprese and garlic bread for appetizers. My mom and I had the Toscana sangria. Best sangria we’ve ever had. We tried the lasagna, spaghetti and pizza. Everything was delicious. For dessert we had the creme brulee and chocolate lava cake. Wow! We ate inside and it wasn’t too noisy and was a very cute place. Our server was wonderful too! Would highly recommend Mimmo’s!

This was my second time there. We had a great experience the first time so decided to come back for bf bday. I had clicked I’m celebrating a bday and wrote a note saying boyfriends birthday so they bring out a surprise dessert or if they can sing or do something. At the end nothing was brought out no acknowledgment of any bday nothing at all so i was disappointed with the poor communication.

There are a lot of choices in Little Italy. I chose Mimmo's because of the fresh pasta, it's Sicilian, and it's been in business for a long time. My paparadella was perfection - big al denta noodles, the vodka sauce was divine, and every vegetable was done to perfection.

My husband and I shared the Aranchini appetizer. It was absolutely delicious, creamy inside with a light crunchy outer shell. I had the eggplant parmigiana. I liked it because it was not breaded but baked with tasty marinara sauce and over fettuccini. My husband had campanelle pasta with meatball in marinara. Also very tasty. We ended by sharing a cannoli. All together a very wonderful meal. The hardest part was finding a place to park. When back in SD, we will return to Mimmo's.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal. Split a bottle of Pinot Noir and had appetizers and a small salad. I had the Lasagna and it was to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Chicken parmigiana: Breadcrumbs overcooked. Chicken fine, but slightly overdone. Pomodoro, very good. Linguine: Disastrous, buried under mounds of food, and by the time I reached it, just a blob of inedible something. MASSIVE block of cheese on top--totally overdone. I scraped it off. Service was fine, if rote. But don't eat there if this is representative of their food. Ugh. P.S. The wine was excellent. And noise level--don't trust me. I ate at 11:30
