This is the second time that we are eating there. The place is amazing, the ambiance and music extraordinary. The service is excellent. We only have a couple of dislikes: salsas and chips. Salsas are great, a very small amount of them but is fine. The eggplant chips were delicious but I can’t say the same for the tortilla chips. There were old and no tasty at all. Mole chocolate cake were super cold, I understand that you keep it in the fridge but it was hard to chew. Not really like the texture and the flavour. The drinks are expensive but good. The other dishes that we tried were delicious ! We will be back for sure!

Had the most lovely date night at Milpa! The food and drinks were fantastic! Loved getting to try new and interesting salsas, and the lamb tacos were to die for! Such lovely decor and ambiance as well. I would highly recommend dining there.

The food is excellent, and the staff do great at helping a non-Spanish speaking patron to select good food. The tables are spaced close enough together to get lots of customers, but not too close that you can overhear conversations. The open kitchen is great, it appeared to me like the staff enjoy their job and take it serious. The staff made us feel like they were glad to have us in their restaurant, glad to share their food with us, and genuinely wanted us to come back.

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere is beautiful, warm and inviting. We sat in the area behind the bar and the architectural design was so interesting and beautiful. Would highly recommend.

The food and service were both excellent. I tried four different taco options and was delighted by all the choices. Our server was very attentive and friendly and gave us great information about the food. I am definitely eating here again soon.

We had a mixed experience last night. The highlight and stand out was our server who was a friendly soul from England. She explained the menu well and created a welcoming atmosphere. She was a gem and I would only go back to engage with her. She also made a fab margarita though expensive for a marg. What was disappointing was how the line cooks spoke to our server. I have severe allergies and when our sever asked about the ingredients in the salsas he’s reaction and response to our server, in front of us, was dismissive and anything but thorough. Even though I know our server did her best to address my allergies, that exchange I witnessed left me with the feeling I could not trust what what was in the salsas and I did not eat anything from that plate. A similar situation happened with our mains. I saw our server ask the kitchen to double checking for allergies as the menu says “we love nuts so ask if you have allergies”. From our view I could see the chef also act incredibly dismissive and showcased body language that he did not want to be bothered. I ended up eating the mixote taco plate as it was had familiar ingredients to me but did not eat the eggplant dish due to the same reason I didn’t eat the salsa tasting plate. (my husband found the eggplant poorly cooked) My hope the take away from this review is that food allergies are incredibly dangerous and bring not only physical challenges but also come with lots of anxiety around eating out. Those with said allergies have to lay a lot of trust in the entire restaurant, both front and back of house. Even if one end, in this case our outstanding server, is being vigilant and exercising great communication skills, if the back of house, which in this restaurant is practically front of house as most of the kitchen is open to the dining room, is not presenting the same attentiveness, it leaves the diner not interested in risking their well being and try the dishes ordered.

For a Saturday night there were only like 2 waiters which made the service a little slow. Overall food was filling and was decently priced
