A British restaurant and bar, Millie’s Lounge serves classic dishes alongside a selection of English sparkling wines, craft ales and seasonal cocktails.

From Monday to Saturday, you can enjoy traditional afternoon tea, set amidst the Grand Banking Hall. Enjoy cakes, scones and a selection of sandwiches with a choice of tea.

Please be advised that that Poultry Street is Entry only and Princes Street Exit only. Bookings can't be made for only drinks. Registered guide dogs only are permitted in public areas or restaurant of The Ned. Children are welcome in the restaurant with last booking at 6pm; seated up to 8pm. We will try to accommodate pushchairs where possible but please be aware there may not be space at the table. If you would like to request a highchair or for further information please contact the restaurant directly.

Please note The Ned reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation either ahead or upon arrival.

Enjoy our Bank themed Afternoon Tea at Millie’s Lounge. We’re serving up sandwiches, scones and bank-themed cakes, including an edible gold bar made from passion fruit mousse, mango and coconut, and a miniature safe filled with dark chocolate and salted caramel. Choose from a selection of teas including Earl Grey and Darjeeling, or add a little sparkle with a glass of Champagne. Millie’s Lounge @ The Ned was a fab experience. The service was so welcoming from the doorman to Millie’s Lounge reception to each and every waitress/waiter service. Our main waitress was so professional, friendly, efficient. Food delicious, very nicely presented. Silverware, material napkins all quality items which does make a difference to Millie’s Lounge experience. The Ned building (Sir Edwin Lutyens aka Ned) is a beautiful building. Ex-Midland Bank headquarters where my husband’s business account was held. Not least the downstairs Ladies, beautifully presented and clean and offers the opportunity to see the Safe Deposit Members Bar. Go to Millie’s Lounge and/or go to The Ned for the bar and restaurant areas. Great location, opposite Bank tube station in the heart of the wonderful City of London. You won’t be disappointed.

Poor service through out. Wrong coffee served, no tea served when asked for. When the tea arrived there was no cup and saucer. Staff were not attentive at all and what was supposed to be a treat was not even average. Gluten free sandwiches out of the six, one was edible, the others were hard and dry. I know gluten free bread is normally not good but the first sandwich was great followed by five bad ones. Scones were good both gluten free and normal. A disappointing experience unfortunately.

It has always been great to visit this restaurant. Location is very convenient. Service and food are excellent.

We’ve dined at Millie’s a few times and it never disappoints. Food and service are always excellent. We tried the seafood platter this time which was great value for money. We will be back.
