A British restaurant and bar, Millie’s Lounge serves classic dishes alongside a selection of English sparkling wines, craft ales and seasonal cocktails.

From Monday to Saturday, you can enjoy traditional afternoon tea, set amidst the Grand Banking Hall. Enjoy cakes, scones and a selection of sandwiches with a choice of tea.

Please be advised that that Poultry Street is Entry only and Princes Street Exit only. Bookings can't be made for only drinks. Registered guide dogs only are permitted in public areas or restaurant of The Ned. Children are welcome in the restaurant with last booking at 6pm; seated up to 8pm. We will try to accommodate pushchairs where possible but please be aware there may not be space at the table. If you would like to request a highchair or for further information please contact the restaurant directly.

Please note The Ned reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation either ahead or upon arrival.

Enjoy our Bank themed Afternoon Tea at Millie’s Lounge. We’re serving up sandwiches, scones and bank-themed cakes, including an edible gold bar made from passion fruit mousse, mango and coconut, and a miniature safe filled with dark chocolate and salted caramel. Choose from a selection of teas including Earl Grey and Darjeeling, or add a little sparkle with a glass of Champagne. Could not fault the occasion. Very clean, the service was perfect, made to feel comfortable and welcome. Food was good in quality and quantity. I will definitely book again and thank you to everyone in Millie’s restaurant.

Really lovely secret gem located in the city Best to go on the weekends because the city is not busy. - Lovely staff. So well mannered and intentional about their guests. I loved that they told us exactly what time breakfast ends and what time it starts. - Delicious food, wish the portion size was a little bigger and had some greens. More side options would be great too. I don’t like that the restaurants are not named and as a result a little difficult to identify.

Two of us had breakfast yesterday. We arrived 15 mins early and were asked to wait at the bar for our table (9:30am) the bar had high stools that were not possible for my mum to sit on, so we sat at on a chair by an empty low table behind (looked like a coffee table) we were asked to move after 2 minutes. The table was not laid up so we didn’t realise we couldn’t sit there. So we were left standing by the bar. My mum is elderly but no effort was made to find her a seat even though there were many empty tables 😞. So not great after travelling for a couple of hours to get there. We were seated at 9:30 though and the waiter service was excellent. The food was also excellent and arrived piping hot and exactly as requested. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the comfy chairs and quiet ambiance was restorative after the frosty arrival experience. We will definitely visit again next time we are in London. The toilet facilities were downstairs. Didn’t see a lift, but wow! They were lovely and we also got to look at the vault. It was an expensive breakfast, but worth it for the experience I feel. It was a nice treat.

Wonderful afternoon tea experience. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Live music appreciated. The venue is lovely and bright, decor is luxurious and seats comfortable.

Service was not great. Forgot one of our parties order and when it did finally arrive seemed like it had been rushed, partly cold. Offered us coffees as an apology and then charged us for them. Surroundings are lovely, just really need to sort out the service, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced bad service at this restaurant.

Pleasant location for brunch but the service isn't that of a high end hotel - one server didn't speak to us. One was friendly and happy to take a picture for us (so thanks to him). The food was fine but having recently had breakfast at Sketch, The Ned wasn't as good. £6 for tinned baked beans as a side. I wouldn't come back as I think there are better places for breakfast or brunch in London for the same cost.

I have no hesitation in recommending Millie’s Lounge at the Ned Hotel. The only thing better than the excellent food is the even more excellent staff. Nothing is to much trouble when you have a task or a question, both are resolved in seconds.
