A British restaurant and bar, Millie’s Lounge serves classic dishes alongside a selection of English sparkling wines, craft ales and seasonal cocktails.

From Monday to Saturday, you can enjoy traditional afternoon tea, set amidst the Grand Banking Hall. Enjoy cakes, scones and a selection of sandwiches with a choice of tea.

Please be advised that that Poultry Street is Entry only and Princes Street Exit only. Bookings can't be made for only drinks. Registered guide dogs only are permitted in public areas or restaurant of The Ned. Children are welcome in the restaurant with last booking at 6pm; seated up to 8pm. We will try to accommodate pushchairs where possible but please be aware there may not be space at the table. If you would like to request a highchair or for further information please contact the restaurant directly.

Please note The Ned reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation either ahead or upon arrival.

Enjoy our Bank themed Afternoon Tea at Millie’s Lounge. We’re serving up sandwiches, scones and bank-themed cakes, including an edible gold bar made from passion fruit mousse, mango and coconut, and a miniature safe filled with dark chocolate and salted caramel. Choose from a selection of teas including Earl Grey and Darjeeling, or add a little sparkle with a glass of Champagne. We arrived 10-15 min earlier, and were told by the cold hostess that the table is not ready and we need to wait. No directions on where to wait or any offer of a drink while we wait. We asked for a glass of sparkling wine with our afternoon tea but the server completely forgot. We had to remind another person when they brought out the food. There was no offer to rectify the issue other than a simple “sorry” by the server who took the order and we were charged the full price for the wine. Excellent food and atmosphere but the service did not match the rest of the experience.

The service was very, very slow, even although it was fairly quiet and a lot of visible staff. The food was excellent but expensive. We live in London and the service was the slowest we’ve had.

We had such an enjoyable dinner at Millie's! Eveything from the seating comfort to food and service has been excellent. We had steak and the fisherman's pie plus dessert and some nice cocktails. The ambience was lovely, with live music and all not to mention the interior architecture and design of the space. Really nice evening!

We love The Ned but tonight was disappointing. I had to send my main course back as it was luke-warm and my husband’s steak was so chewy he couldn’t eat some of it. The service was inattentive too. Hoping it was just a blip

Fook ok but expensive. Main waitress obviously overworked. Drinks ordered and took ages to come and then were wrong and then argumentative drinks waitress who insisted she'd salready delivered my drink even though there was no sign of it! Weird!

Fabulous building and setting. Always a pleasure! However, my breakfast was served cold when it should have been hot. Also the waitress kept coming up with orders we hadn’t placed! Annoying as she kept interrupting us! Other than that it was a comfortable experience.
