Set at the end of a tranquil tidal creek on the Salcombe estuary, the Millbrook Inn is a hidden haven for those who enjoy good food, great wine and a pint of local ale.

The Millbrook Inn has a long-standing reputation as one of Devon's best gastro pubs. We take great care to source the finest local ingredients from land and sea, including from our own farm, and we prepare them simply and with love.

Our home - the idyllic village of South Pool – is easy to reach from Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes. When the tide is right, it’s only a short boat trip from Salcombe.

Whether by our homely fire or our babbling brook, we look forward to welcoming you to the Millbrook Inn very soon.

The Millbrook will play host to seafood experts and our good friends Mitch and Ben Tonks from The Seahorse Restaurant in Dartmouth, for a dinner celebrating the best of Devon and the produce from Land and Sea. The 5 course dinner will alternate between meat and fish, with Westy cooking and introducing the meat courses and Mitch and Ben manning the seafood, and pouring some iconic drinks as befits Seahorse tradition. We are so looking forward us as we see out the summer and celebrate fire, friendship, farming and fish.

We had previously visited the Millbrook August 23 and had the best Sunday Roast we'd ever had. This year however it was possibly one of the worst overpriced roasts we'd ever had. The beef was so overcooked, chewy and tasteless. Roast potatoes which were hardly roasted and accompanying veg poor. All served with greasy tasteless gravy. One good thing was the cauliflower cheese which was delicious. Aside from the cauli cheese, this was a meal more suited to Toby Carvery and so overpriced. Gives the feeling of being very up itself to be honest. We did recommend to friends who are visiting Salcombe but after this we told them to look elsewhere. Shame.

We had a lovely celebration of the start of the game season. The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Friendly staff. Felt food was very tasty and well presented but felt was overpriced given in a pub setting.

It’s a great place with a great vibe, somewhere we’ve been coming for years. Had a lovely meal - steak and lobster, both of which were fab. The team are great, super friendly and helpful. Only slightly negative observation? The service on the evening was really really slow - in fact it took an hour from arrival for us to get our food. That said, it’s always been brilliant before and we’ll certainly be back.

We had a fantastic experience at Millbrook Inn celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, and the food was elegantly presented and delicious. The upstairs dining area is beautifully decorated and it feels really intimate and special. We have been visiting Millbrook Inn for over 20 years and it means so much to us. We were so pleased that our special occasion exceeded all expectations. A big thank you to the team at Millbrook Inn for the wonderful celebratory dinner!
