Local Ingredients and International Flavor.
Rye, seafood, mushrooms, berries, and roots form the fundamentals of Nordic food. Each dish Chef Mikko prepares is an elegant combination of traditional and modern influence. Everything we had was good. Great cocktails to start - a Nordic old fashioned and a One Night Stand. The trout salad appetizer was amazing. We both had soup creamy fish soup and the smoky tomato soup, with grilled cheese and a slice of quiche. We are pescatarian and there were plenty of options.

not a fancy place, but the food was well seasoned and nicely prepared. Waitstaff was friendly. It's casual -- and if you are eating outside in the summer you might want to borrow their bug spray. It was really nice to have scandanavian food because it's not a cuisine you get much opportunity to try

Great food, service was a little slow with drinks but the savory waffle topped with a poached egg and smoked salmon turned out amazing.

We came for brunch on a Sunday and had the salmon and poached egg open faced sandwich (excellent) with brewed coffee (very good) and a stellar Bloody Mary. The patio was shady with a pleasant ambience and great dog watching. The only downside was that check in for the reservation was slow on account of chaotic retail purchasing traffic at the counter.

Mikko is a great find in all the best ways: a really engaging space, incredibly kind and helpful staff, delicious food, and a good value for the price. We especially enjoyed the arancini, the trout salad and the duck confit. The pea soup was perfect and a very generous bowl. Plus five stars for being able to get dinner at ten p.m.
