Why not try one of our set menus? The Fixed Price Menu is unrivalled at £14.95 for three courses, available Monday – Friday 12 - 6.30pm and Saturday 12 - 4.00pm. I’ve been to Middletons in Norwich and had an overall great experience. However, Middletons in Chelmsford lets the brand down in all areas. The waiter didn’t understand their own menu and had to keep going back to the bar to ask questions. Twice I was asked if I wanted any condiments and I was forgotten about once they walked off with my request. The food was room temperature when it reached us and was overpriced for the size of the portions. The only good thing about the food was that the Steak, I ordered medium-rare and that was spot on. Hopefully it turns around as I do like the Norwich one

Meal was lovely - except onion rings no flavour Cost is always a problem especially with service charge

First time we had been in there. Went there for Mother's day. We served by Rhea who was very warm and friendly. Rhea was thorough with our order to make sure everything was ordered. We have recommended my other son to go there as he has never been.

The staff were friendly and helpful but the service was slow and the food was over cooked or inedible. There was a 10% service charge added to our bill that we reluctantly paid. This restaurant has been lovely before but we are now very disappointed and will not return. Not value for money and very unsatisfactory.

The restaurant was fairly busy I happened to sit down next to a noisy bunch but other than that the staff were friendly and the food was okay the starter I had was king prawns in a tomato sauce I think the prawns were not well cooked the mains was good as was the dessert

Good was great, service impeccable. Only issue really was large table of drunk people who were very loud and shouting. Quite aggressive at one point. They had obviously been drinking for hours. A couple of people had to move tables as they didn’t want to sit near them. Not the restaurant’s fault, but they should have been made to quiet down a bit or leave. Not family atmosphere because of this. Very rowdy. Couldn’t relax or hear ourselves think.

As usual the food was excellent. The service was attentive but not intrusive. We have a great time.

First time to visit Middlestons, service could have been quicker, however it wouldn't put me off visiting again. Food was fantastic.

I loved it! Sunday roast and dessert plus large glass of red wine each came to £55 which I felt with the quality, good service was great! Very lovely Chelmsford restaurant and I look forward to going back!
