MIDA is a South End neighborhood restaurant, inspired by the simplicity of classic Italian dishes . Our menu focuses on many regions of traditional Italian food and culture, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Dinner is served Monday - Thursday, and Sundays from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Patio reservations are available on a same day first come basis only. Please call the restaurant to secure patio seating. Patio availability is dependent on weather. Walk-ins are always welcome.

    As always, the food and staff make Mida stand out. I brought my team here for dinner and everyone enjoyed themselves. From the short rib lasagna to a special gluten free dish to everything in between, we loved our meals. And, we appreciated the attentiveness of our server. Thanks so much!

    My Bolenese pasta had an unusual weird taste to it. Not what I expected. It also had a nutty texture to it. I will not order it again. The dessert menu was poor, with only two dessert choices plus ice cream. The Tiramisu was not very good. There were no ladyfingers but rather a slice of firm cake. Pork chop and gnocchi dishes were tasty. The cauliflower dish got cold pretty quickly and therefore not as enjoyable. Overall not a good experience at a well known restaurant.

    I have been coming to the original South End location of MIDA since soon after it opened in 2018 I think it was. I never have been disappointed and yesterday's dinner was just as good as all the others, including my personal fav, the polenta. I am such a fan of MIDA and though I do occasionally dine at Newton location, the original is still the best little neighborhood bistro around and I prefer it. Thank you for taking such good care of us on my birthday!!!

    Mida is one our favorite restaurants for a reason - the food and the service is consistently fabulous. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive and the food always tastes fresh and delicious.

    The menu is rather limited with most pasta dishes being pork based or minimal ingredients, like cheese and tomato. We ordered the mussels, pork again, along with salmon and chicken. Everything was way too salty. There were several "observers" stationed throughout the restaurant that bordered on creepy. Creeping up on tables to check drinks and creeping up to female staff to tell them things, it just gave off the wrong vibe. Also the trend of "Welcome In" being announced just needs to stop—it's redundant and embarrassing.

    Ambience was nice, server was nice too. However, the food was pretty mid. The lasagna came out lukewarm and the carbonara came out undercooked (we sent it back and got it remade, but it was still starchy/powdery). Duck wings were great, polenta not so great

    We had an outstanding experience at MIDA. An unexpected chefs table experience with incredible food and drinks. Will be back sooner rather than later.

    We had a great experience at MIDA. Friendly welcome, seated at a nice table by the window. Flavorful and innovative italian cuisine, not your standard veal parmigiana. Tables a bit tight together but the place had energy! An easy half mile walk to the theatre district, so MIDA is a good choice for pre-show dining. Free gelato for Huntington ticket holders!
