Depuis que Michael's Genuine Food & Drink a ouvert ses portes dans le Miami Design Design au printemps 2007, les convives sont devenus adeptes et désirent sa combinaison rafraîchissante d'atmosphère décontractée et d'une bonne nourriture, un bistrot de quartier qui est la vitrine ultime pour le type de cuisine que le chef / propriétaire Michael Schwartz prépare de mieux- maison, sans prétention, délectable, avec une emphase sur les ingrédients locaux. Le restaurant est ouvert sept jours par semaine et sert le dîner, un menu pour l'après-midi, le souper et le brunch. La salle la salle à manger et la cour peuvent accueillir 100 convives, et la Bar Room, peut accueillir 16 convives supplémentaires, de plus 24 places sont disponibles dans le bar de bienvenue où les clients peuvent profiter du menu de l'après-midi incluant le bar de crudités de 15h à 17h30 du lundi au samedi. Le brunch du dimanche est le moment où les petites assiettes brillent sur un menu hebdomadaire de saveurs et de sucreries. Le restaurant est situé dans le quartier animé de Design District, le nouvel endroit de la mode de luxe à Miami.

    Had a 8:30 reservation and was seated at 9:15, so we had to wait for 45 minutes. Our waiter was really nice but food took a very long time. For a 8:45 reservation, we ended up getting our last plates and finishing the meal at 11 pm

    Chicken was a bit undercooked and potatoes or artichoke were very hard, waited about 45 minutes to get food, server not attentive, the dessert was very delicious (flan and also the toffee cake), and visual of restaurant is nice, would only come back for dessert and only for dessert.

    Just another average restaurant in the middle of a shopping plaza. Not a good view , the food was mediocre at best . It was about $440 for a dinner for 2 , you’re better off going literally anywhere else .

    We came here for the Valentine’s Day menu— $135 per person prix fixe menu. While the food was not bad, the portions were extremely small and it was only an amuse bouche, appetiser, and quite a small main aside from dessert. The main was a small 6oz short rib on top of a few slices of sweet potato, with no other side, and the sweet potatoes were undercooked. When we let the waitress know about this, the manager came out and told us they’d be bringing us some more sweet potatoes shortly, which was not the right way to handle this as we ended up having to stop eating for over 5 minutes while waiting for them to come out, and our short rib got cold meanwhile. Aside from this, the appetisers were good but one of the desserts we ordered was quite lacklustre. We let the waitress know we were disappointed with the portions of food— something I have never felt compelled to do until today— as we had probably around 15 bites of food total. The manager came out and told us she wouldn’t be able to do anything, and did not offer us anything but her card and asking us to come back and another time, as if we the experience we had would make us want to come spend money there again. We ended up leaving with a $340 bill and going straight to eat after. I must say that this is quite greedy on the part of the restaurant. Valentine’s Day could be a great opportunity to bring new customers in to try the food and decide they want to come back, but it seems they decided to take advantage of the holiday by taking advantage of customers instead. The experience we got was smaller portions than the restaurant normally serves, at much higher prices per dish than usual— and we were made to eat the main dish cold no less. We also indicated that we were celebrating a special occasion on the reservation, as today was also our Anniversary, and this was not acknowledged in any way by any of the staff or in any part of our experience. I’d strongly suggest going elsewhere.

    The oysters came after the hot dish, it is so very strange when we told the waitress she didn't care.

    We had been waiting for another chance to dine at MGFD after eating there pre-covid and their shut down for remodel. It was just as amazing as I remembered and the ambience is waaaay cooler now. Food, drink and service do not disappoint!
