你好, welcome to the Mandarin!

Established in 1961, this traditional and authentic Cantonese restaurant in Blackpool town centre has been extending a warm oriental welcome to customers for 55 years!

Choose from a mouth-watering selection of delicious dishes including Mrs Wan’s dumplings, made from her own recipe, Szechuan chilli beef, Nasi Goreng and oriental fruit salad with lychee. We are very proud that every dish and every sauce is made in house, because we care about our food.

The belief that every meal shared should be special is why this restaurant takes time to carefully select and prepare the freshest Chinese dishes, adding just three extra ingredients - quality, experience and time.

Our core belief is that we are a local restaurant, open year round for local residents and visitors to the resort alike. We"ve worked for many years with our local suppliers to continue to bring you the best experience of Chinese food in Blackpool.

Excellent meal. Food was hot and very tasty. Really enjoyed it. Best Chinese in Blackpool.

Very disappointed with service. We arrived in good time, had some drinks to wait for our table. We were taken to our table and when we were ready our order was taken. The starters arrived in good time and were delicious as usual. After that things went downhill. We waited and waited for our starter dishes to be removed every time a staff member passed by. Didn’t happen. By 9 o’ clock we had had enough. Every other table had their main meal, even people who had arrived after us. We complained and were told they had run out of one of our dishes and had to make more! No communication at all before this! The mains came quickly after that! We couldn’t enjoy the great food after this bad service experience! The owner was very apologetic and took the food off our bill. We would rather have paid in full and enjoyed our experience as we have before, considering we had come to The Mandarin from Scotland as part of our travels in England and Wales.

Hi Anne, we're so sorry for your experience on Friday, having been many times previously you know this is not truly representative of us. We checked the cameras and you waited twenty-five minutes for your mains, this is just not acceptable. As you mentioned chef did have to make a fresh batch of gon sui chicken mid service as we had run out, which is rare but does occasionally happen. This in itself may not have been a problem had you been made aware of the situation but unfortunately the communication broke down somewhere between the chefs, waiting team and yourselves, leaving you in limbo waiting for your food, and for that we can only apologise. As you mentioned we did put all the food on the house by way of apology, it's just a shame you left having had your evening spoilt.

The food was outstanding problaby the best chinese I have ever had. However we ordered the seafood banquet they then informed us they had no lobster they did supply us alternatives and reduced our bill. We did have quite a rowdy table next too us. But I will return excellent helpfull staff and good choice of music

We came Saturday with our 4year old daughter and mother in law along with her friend, food was beyond excellent cannot praise the overall dinning experience enough

Top class food as usual. We always dine here when we visit Blackpool. It was busy as usual, so booking essential especially at the weekend, as busy as it was, the service was excellent.
