    My husband and I shared the 23oz bone in ribeye and two sides. The meal was delicious and service was excellent. A perfect Christmas/Birthday dinner!

    I have dined at Michael Jordan’s Ilani Casino and number of time however tonight was more than disappointing. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak for two and it was rather bland, the side dishes were lukewarm and the overall meal was less than satisfactory. Service was another issue. Our server was fine but seemed overwhelmed. The appetizer was served at the same time as the salads. There was no offer for fresh ground pepper even though we observed other tables received this. The meal was served and we had no plates or utensils so we had to request them Finally, in our previous experiences, bread was brought out. This was not offered. Finally it was our anniversary which we indicated on the reservation and yet we were asked there was anything special tonight. Our last anniversary at MJ’s the server brought out complimentary champagne, this year nothing. Now my expectations are lower for a mid level steakhouse however MJ’s tries to compete with Ruth Chris or Morton’s. On this latest visit, it did not measure up. Maybe it was an off night or the servers were inexperienced so we may give them another opportunity or may just take the time to drive an additional 20 minutes to downtown Portland.

    My daughter’s Australian Wague was amazing! My filet was ordered medium/medium rare it was overcooked so it tasted like liver. The rum and coke was 1/2 to 3/4 full but full price. The apple Bread Pudding was made to order and delicious. Server knew the couple at the table next to us so he spent much of his time talking to them rather than tending to his tables. Glasses were empty, no refill. We pushed our finished plate to the end of the table so he would know we were ready and still delayed paying attention to our table. For a $400 bill would like equal attention across the tables.

    One of our go tos for a steak night. Glad they stuck with the specials since it was Christmas Eve. Also liked they didn’t add the gratuity for our party of 6(we normally tip more when they don’t add it automatically). We will definitely be back!

    We had a wonderful date at the MJ Steakhouse. We enjoyed the Sunday Feast special and it was plenty of food for the two of us! The steak with the compound butter was our favorite item. The Cheesecake was also amazing.

    We had the Friday special which was Surf and Turf. Everything was flavored perfectly. My husband had the Caesar salad and I chose the mixed green salad. They were good sized, and every bite had been tossed in just enough dressing. We chose the ribeye and our two sides were mashed potatoes and asparagus. The cheesecake dessert was light and delicious and the strawberry sauce drizzle gave it a great flavor. Our waiter took very good care of us. We can't wait to go back. It was that good!

    I took my wife here for a date night. Steak was great, service was awesome, and the atmosphere was really cool.
