Mia's Italian Kitchen, located at the riverside end of King Street in Old Town Alexandria, is rooted in family. Our menu is filled with homestyle traditional Italian recipes sourced from owner Dave Nicholas' Sicilian grandmother. An elegant wine list accompanies beer and craft cocktails on the beverage menu. Dine downstairs and watch the signature Sicilian-style rectangular pizzas cook in the 800-degree brick oven, or upstairs to view the energetic open kitchen. Open for lunch and dinner, plus bottomless weekend brunch.

The first floor boasts a cool bar and pizza station while the second floor features a sofa lounge, soaring ceilings with beautiful artwork, and an open kitchen.

The best birthday brunch ever!!!! Sarita was such an awesome bartender and server. We sat at the bar. Bottomless brunch…the food kept coming out good and hot!!! Our bar mates were so fun and friendly!!!

The location and restaraunt itself is nice, but unfortunately, the food was really lacking. We went during their brunch special where they offer endless brunch, but all of our pasta came out cold and the taste was on the bland side. The other items we got were just okay, nothing special. Overall, this place is not terrible but it is also not great.

We chose lunch for a first visit so it wasn’t packed but definitely was a popular place by the time we left. Our server was really friendly & made it a point to identify unique qualities of the restaurant such as their entirely scratch kitchen. Drinks were generous & the flavor profiles have us looking forward to our next visit!

At first the hostess wanted to put us on another waitlist for 20 to 25min but after 5min seated us. I am glad because with as packed as it was and we could see tables open outside, and after reserving on OpenTable hours ahead, this would have changed our decision to find another restaurant to go to. We are very happy the restaurant was accommodating ultimately.

Eggplant Parmesan is my favorite! Sooo good, served with a side of ziti with homemade tomato sauce. My husband ordered linguine with clams and loved it.

The food tasted fresh and was steaming so it was served promptly. We did the brunch special and it was worth the money to have the ability to try all the amazing dishes. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a brunch spot.
