“Mi Vida” translates to “My Life.” However, in Mexico, “Mi Vida” means much more. “Mi Vida” is a term of endearment bestowed on close family and friends to signify love, care and importance. When one says, “Mi Vida,” they are telling someone special how much they mean to them. MI VIDA describes how we feel about our team and our guests. It is our expression of Mexican culture and cuisine as interpreted through the lens of Chef Roberto Santibañez. Our menu is rooted in the history and culinary tradition of Mexico while exploring the ever-changing boundaries of this vibrant and evolving cuisine.

    Walking in the main door at Mi Vida the volume level was harsh. Fortunately it was cool enough to sit outside. Only later did we discover a side dining room that was not crowded and much quieter. Service was friendly and efficient. We had the deviled eggs, cheese/mushroom empanadas, jicama salad, fish tacos, and fried plantains. It was all well prepared, and came out fast. Our only complaint was that most things were too salty (except, oddly enough, the black beans). Otherwise the food was tasty and a bit more interesting than typical "Mexican" in the US.

    Food is spicier than expected, which might be great for some. The food came out very quickly so if you are looking for a spaced out meal, this might not be the place.

    We were there just before a Janet Jackson concert. This place was off the hook. Even tho things were happening fast because most of the people had to get to the concert, out waiter, Victor c took the time to make our experience a memorable one. We were not rushed in the least. Started with the nachos and a pitcher of De LA Casa Margaritas. (6 glasses). The main course was great. We had so much fun that we ordered coffee and dessert. Pastel De Chocolate and Citrus Tres Leches. Both were out of this world. This place rocks. I highly recommend it if you are in the DC area and love Mexican food. Thank you for making our night a memorable one.

    The service and food were exceptional. Our waiter was attentive and our food was great.

    Overall average, but most of all felt very rushed. Barely got my butt in the chair before the guac was being pushed. When we did get the guacamole the entrees came out 5 minutes later and my side didn’t come out until we were 2/3rds done our meal. Service was good yet over eager. Guac was very good but the enchiladas and tacos were average at best.
