The Chiles en Nogada, an incredibly tradicional Mexica dish only served during the month September in Mexico. We happened to go yesterday, Day of Independence in Mexico - it was a special on their Celebration Menu - It was executed perfectly delicious - Thank you Chef @ Mi VIda -

Incredible food and service. The ambience was excellent with great music and an upbeat vibe. The food was presented in a super creative way and was SO flavorful - really interesting takes on the typical Mexican fare that elevated it to a fine dining level without the stuffiness. This will be our go-to Mexican spot anytime we are in DC. Our server Christian was amazing

First time visitor while on vacation. Found the restaurant via Open Table, checked the reviews and decided to give it a try. Absolutely outstanding! Food, quality, portions, service, mood was a whole vibe2 would absolutely come again!! Worth every bit the money.

Food was good, sevice was nice! Value for food was okay, but it was very loud inside (especiall the music). Very hard to have a conversation.

Here the food is just great! It's tasty, well prepared. Some dishes are little too spicy for some people. However, service was poor. We have had 3 coarse meal and the next one arrived before we were done with the previous one. So timing-wise, there was a rush. Although we were sitting outside, the music was too loud and one cannot have calm conversation. You have to be yelling all the time even to order your meal. They were late to bring us some extra dishes, there was no paper tissue or coaster under our glasses. Although these could be seen as some small details, it certainly matters if this places is considered as a fine-dining restaurant.

For lunch, I decided to try restaurant week at Mi Vida on 14th St. My server Astrid, was the best!!! She was very helpful with the menu, and the selections. She made the visit very enjoyable. The restaurant interior presents a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Note worthy was the guacamole. The guac had a little kick to It was some of the best guac I’ve had (I need that recipe!!!). For the first time I tried the ensalada Picada and the salmon con calabacitas. Both were excellent choices. The salad has such great flavor. I am looking forward to my next visit at Mi Vida on 14th St.
