Mezzo Restorante in Brookside is a small neighborhood bistro that creates each dish from scratch. Inspired by the cuisines of Italy, Chef Daniel creates a beautiful seasonal menu, featuring local produce, house made pastas, quality meats and fresh fish. Chef Daniel and his team are the best in the area. Mezzo features weekly seafood, ravioli, drink specials for our customers to enjoy!

Mezzo offers indoor dining & on our heated enclosed patio for our customers to enjoy year round. Our bar opens Tuesday-Saturday -4:30 and serves beautifully handcrafted cocktails, mocktails, a notable wine list, craft beer & after dinner drinks.

Mezzo specializes in private events showers, graduation, birthdays, baptisms, anniversary parties which can be held in our private patio or restaurant. Look for our farmers market dinners, wine tasting events and wine dinners.

Upon arriving, we greeted hostess after she failed to greet us. Hostess, with a mouth full of food immediately kneeled down and when she came up, opened a water canister and took a long drink, then said, do you have a reservation. I was in shock! After voicing my displeasure, she tried to seat us at a less desirable table when several other tables were open. I objected and chose a different table. The initial waiter came over and started rattling off a prefixe menu and I when inquired about calamari as I was starving and wanted to order an appetizer, he seems offended that I wanted to place an order and commented but I was telling you about the specials. Yes, and I'm telling you that I want wine and a starter. I'm happy to hear about your specials after my order is placed. Frito Meso was good but the crab cakes were frozen despite waiter's emphatic declaration that they were made in house, the Caesar salad was mediocre and the Bolognese was average. Finally, half was through the meal, a young male waiter, who was constantly running his fingers through his boy band hair cut ( unsanitary), asked if we wanted a to go box, while my fork was still in my hand. I respond, normally when a guest has a fork in their hand that's a clear indication that they are still eating their food. He apologized and left. This place was a disappointing and just average food. But if you haven't had the pleasure of enjoying high quality Italian food in Italy, on the East Coast or in San Francisco, you probably won't know any better, so enjoy!

Hi Sabrina the hostess, had unfortunately just put a mint in her mouth & was choking prior to your arrival, she grabbed some water to help clear her throat, she said she could barely talk after choking. Our tables are all handled by opentable, when you arrive you are seated at the designated table, in the future you are welcome to request another table & we will do everything we can to accommodate your request! The crab cakes are 100% NEVER frozen. We will talk to our busser about trying to take your plate before you were done and playing with his hair. Our server said that you seemed happy and never complained about the food. Please accept our apologies that you did not enjoy your dinner, we get many great reviews & we were surprised that you had a bad experience!

The food is consistently good and the service super friendly and attentive. Mezzo is a great neighborhood gem.

Very good lasagna and tasty pork tenderloin. We also enjoyed the gumbo. JT, our server was attentive and personable. Overall, we had a very good experience and will be back.

Ate at the bar. Fabulous bartender, super service, exquisite food! A local diamond which should have a Michelin star.

Remains a favorite in Stockton. Creative menu with solid standards, service oriented staff, good ambience. A touch noisier than expected indoors; will request outdoor table in future.

We hope to start an interior remodel soon and we are looking at some acoustical features that will help when we have a noiser table. Fortunately this does not happen very often but we always appreciate when all of our customers take in consideration that there are other diners in the restaurant. Please know that if it is ever noisy please let your server know and we will always try to accomodate a move to the outside or another table. Thank you again for your nice review! Our party of four enjoyed everything we ordered, from Caesar Salads to Lasagna and Spumoni. The patio setting is improving, year by year, and our waiter was unobtrusive but a very pleasant character! Only complaint: we ate too much!!!

Incredible Experience. Chef prepared an outstanding Early Autumn Menu. My highlights were Corn Arancini, Granny Smith Salad with bacon lardon, Squash Bisque with ricotta gnudi, Prosciutto wrapped Pork. Wine pairings complimented each course it was served with. Service by JT was excellent. Can’t wait for next month Fall Harvest Dinner.

Halibut was the fish special. It was outstanding. Fish was cooked perfectly with a variety of fresh vegetables served in a beautiful presentation with a lovely sauce & greens.
