Situated directly on the water overlooking the Hudson River, in the Battery Park section of Manhattan, diners will experience a fresh take on Mediterranean, Greek and seafood dishes created by Executive Chef Antelmo Ambrosio.
Mezze on the River boasts two outdoor dining terraces with direct Hudson River views in addition to indoor seating with floor-to-ceiling windows, giving diners an unobstructed view of the passing sailboats and yachts leaving the nearby North Cove Marina.

The environment is great! I felt like in a Euro Summer place. Service need to be improved. Hostess was rude and so sharp when I asked if we were sitting outside as requested on our reservation. And our waitress wasn’t very solicitous.

Saganaki cigars are one of the best melted-cheese concoctions in the city. Price-fixed lunch is a great deal. Food was very good overall, the service was attentive, and the outdoor setting is beautiful. Highly recommended!

This is my 2nd visit. I brought two friends from out of town. Great interesting food in the $30-50 range, on the river! Their only challenge is the service. Nice enough in personality, however, this is the first time I’ve experienced a waiter with ear phone communications with the kitchen. It was a bit of a distraction. We had to ask twice for a few things. Mainly because the waiter was distracted when we talking to her. Besides that challenge, I’d bring friends again for a return visit.

Food and ambiance were great, service can be improved. We made a reservation for an Anniversary but there was no special treatment for that as I would normally expect, and I received from other restaurants.

We reserved seating outside. It was misting so I did ask to be seated inside when we get there but there was nothing available. We still enjoyed the outside back patio area. It is decorated beautifully and the city views of the are excellent. The food was good! Our favorite was the lamb meatballs! Seafood dishes were great! October was textured perfect but the dip was 2 spicy and there was no alternative options. Drinks were average price. It was loud inside but very peaceful outside where we were. There was always a wait for the bathroom but that's nyc right? We did also have to wait a long time for our server to come and our drinks to be brought after the original food order was served, other than that the service was good.

The venue can’t be beat and our table was right by the window so that was delightful. The food was delicious. The welcome and service could have been warmer and more attentive but that was a small price to pay for the spectacular view and excellent cuisine.
