Metropolis by Marcus Samuelsson is a vibrant contemporary American restaurant from Marcus Samuelsson within the Perelman Performing Arts Center. Metropolis is the culinary anchor of this new cultural cornerstone of Lower Manhattan and is honored to play a role in the final chapter of rebuilding the World Trade Center site. Its menu explores the rich culinary traditions of New York City through a modern lens with theatrical cocktails, a fun and worldly wine list, and gracious hospitality. Designed by David Rockwell, Metropolis features a dazzling yet warmly inviting dining room and a bustling bar, a landscaped outdoor terrace, and a lobby lounge featuring free-to-the-public artistic programming.

Super endroit, super nourriture mais service très très bas de gamme. Attente de 50 minutes pour avoir le premier verre alors que le restaurant n’était pas plein et que les serveurs riaient entre entre eux. Erreurs de commande. Le service est vraiment le bémol - dommage car le reste est top

Second time in a week and expect to go back New Year’s Eve! We loved our meal; the special duck and checkerboard cake were exceptional and we are still savoring. The service is attentive and the ambiance beautiful. Our go to place!

The Christmas Eve prix fixe was outstanding in all respects, an extraordinary meal. Our party of 6 was delighted, even dazzled.

Our favorite place for dinner in downtown Battery Park City area! Three times here for special occasions, and never a disappointment, in fact, expectations were exceeded every time. Service was always impeccable, food, ambience and quality all equally impressive. I will be going back in a couple of weeks.

If you want delicious food with a sexy vibe, this is your spot. The bartender Ashley makes the best drink as if she is making them for kings and queens. The drinks are just as amazing as the food. My favorite is the crispy snapper. It is divine! The entire staff is extraordinary. Run. Do not walk to go to metropolis!

Food was uneven: in the past, everything has been excellent: in this case, the appetizers were excellent. However, two of the main courses this time were average - one dish had pasta that was overcooked and mushy - and the other meal just did not have a good flavor (black cod). The desert offerings were minimal and the one we chose was not very good - way too tart and no balance. We were really sorry about the meal because in the past, we have looked forward to the Metropolis meals. It doesn't mean we won't return: it is very convenient when we go to events at the PAC, but so sorry the meals was disappointing, because it is part of the draw to PAC.

There are only positive comments to make about this place. The person who took our order was perfection. He made me hope that he’s this nice in his personal life and that he was treating well by friends and family. Good vibes! The food was delicious! The ambience was relating. Everything was lovely. I’ll be back again.
