Best restaurant we've been to in Cabo. We created our own tasting menu from their appetizers and every one was fabulous. Perfect service. Eclectic atmosphere but it worked. Highly recommended for foodies like us

Our dinner was delicious- so many flavors. We also loved the ambiance of the setting. An authentic Mexican experience. Carlos was a wonderful server. Very attentive and explained the dishes well. He should be commended for his service.

The food was cold, service was pushy and non attentive. It felt as though my wife and i were a burden to the staff on a slow Monday night. The chicken was exceptional but everything else was colder then the ambient air temp of 85. We asked for one dish to be returned and reheated. At the end, we asked for our check and the server instead of giving me a private option to add gratuity demanded 10, 15 or 20 percent to which i said none and he proceeded to add a 15% gratuity. How they were recommended by bib gourmand I have no idea but i would never return back to Matate. I wish them well and all the luck/fortune but that was a disgraceful birthday dinner for my wife and a waste of time and money.

We recently dined at Matete Restaurant in Cabo, and it was a delightful experience. The vibe of the place was fantastic—relaxed yet lively, with an inviting atmosphere enhanced by an adorable dog that adds a unique touch to the dining experience. The food was exceptional —fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Overall, a wonderful combination of great food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere. We highly recommend eating here when visiting Cabo.

I had an incredible dining experience at Metate Restaurant in Cabo! The ambiance was perfect—relaxing and elegant, with a beautiful blend of traditional Mexican charm and modern touches. The food was outstanding, with every dish bursting with authentic flavors and creative presentation. A special shout-out to Francisco Perales, our waiter, who made the evening even more memorable. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations. His friendly and professional service truly elevated our experience. I highly recommend Metate for anyone looking for a top-notch culinary experience in Cabo!
