The food was excellent! Service great. And the pacing of the food coming out was perfect. Wonderful meal before the Nutcracker.

We had a great time and the food was excellent. It was very busy so I was glad we had made a reservation.

The space is BEAUTIFUL, but the lack of service along side pasta dishes that tasted like they were from a nursing home was very disappointing. Mushy bland cold pasta for ridiculous prices was a huge let down on date night.

The food is unbelievable, so delicious. The server, Ben, was terrific. A bit pricey $155 for 2 entrees and 3 drinks, but worth it for a special occasion Noise level was high, but we were still able to have a conversation.

As soon as I walked in I asked the hostess to let the server know we were celebrating a birthday, so they could send a dessert, DIDN'T happen, then after she led me to very back of the restaurant to seat me, I asked if we could be seated at the front of the restaurant, she said she would see if she could accommodate, I never saw her again. Then our arrogant waiter recommended the spicy vodka dish, when I asked about the spice level, he said it was mild. First bite of the pasta, my tongue almost feel out from the spice level, when I made a comment about it, he laughed saying he likes really spicy food! Funny, I thought it was me eating it... This is the third time, I have given this restaurant a chance, I have been VERY disappointed every time.

Fun experience. Good drinks and food. The pasta board was fun. It definitely wasn't the best pasta or meal I've ever had, but it was super close proximity to McCaw Hall so that was great! Our server was good and the restaurant had good ambience. Please know that they charge a 22% service fee that DOES NOT GO to any of the cooks or wait staff. If you want your server to get a tip, you are expected to contribute on top of that. Horrible owners for having this. Only reason this restaurant gets a get review is- to warn people. Will not come back.

Had reservations for 5:45 pm party of 3 prior to concert. Arrived on time and was told we would have to wait 15 minutes. Observed many open tables and the ones that were seated all had menus down and the parties were done looking at them. Most had nothing to drink on tables. Not a good sign. Once seated ( asked a different person and she sat us) we waited 20 minutes watching servers walk past us all carrying one thing at a time and never looking at anyone seated at tables. We finally had to flag someone down and asked her to please stop and help us. We ordered our food and water from her. We finally got water after now being seated for 35 minutes. Food arrived. We had 3 chopped salads, one order of meatballs and bread. Salads were good. Meatballs were cold and bread was just okay. We never saw our server again. I observed table after table sitting and waiting. Servers walking back and forth never looking at anyone. That’s the first rule of excellent service is your heads on a swivel seeing who needs help. Such a waste of time to just walk back and forth with one liter of water in their hands!! We finally had to shout down a different server to get our check and then waited 20 minutes for it!! To our dismay we saw they added 22% service charge to our ticket. Not worthy of it by a long stretch. The entire staff would benefit greatly from training and obviously that includes the management. Poor service and not for lack of employees. A parade of staff walked back and forth carrying a water or a glass. It would have been comical if we weren’t hungry and had somewhere to get too. Needless to say we all agreed Messina is not a restaurant worthy of our money or time. Such a great opportunity lost due to poor training and a boring menu.

The good: food flavor was very good. The not so good: They are not very accommodating. The pasta flight comes as is and my family doesn't eat pork. They just told us to not order the flight and do separate pastas. We ordered 3 items to share between 3 people. The portions were really small for the price and you have to buy the protein separately. Also, we finished eating and had to wait for 15-20 mins for our plates to be removed from the table. They automatically add a 22% gratuity to the bill but they didn't give us a good service. I wouldn't recommend because it's very pricey for little food and poor service.

It's cold by the window. We arrived at 4 and would have preferred a seat towards the back. Also for a party of 3 I was surprised with a 22% gratuity automatic charge. Food was outstanding 😋
