   This place is ok. I believe the mashed potatoes were instant and the crème brûle pudding was also instant. The steak and chopped salad were pretty good. It could use some redecorating inside the restaurant.

   My wife and I had been here about 4 years ago. We were disappointed with the food versus the value. We figured that it's been a while so we gave them another shot. It seems that nothing has changed. The service was disorganized. We had three different people come to our table saying they would be our server. We ordered our food once we actually had a right server and we asked if the kitchen was on point with steak temperatures. She responded with a "yes." Well, the steak was burnt on the edges with over an inch of burnt fat on one end. We ordered the $52 18 oz ribeye to share. Only the center was the correct temperature. A woman who we assumed was the manager brought the refire to us. She sat it on the table, just said sorry and walked off. Not very genuine in her approach. We don’t believe the second one was a ribeye. It was too lean with no marbling running through it. Nor was it an 18 oz steak. We also got an order of greenbeans with bacon and an order of garlic mashed potatoes. The green beans were a good portion, but slightly undercooked and not worth $10. The garlic mashed potatoes were good, but the portion was small for $8. There was no value in that meal. The services was poor and the quality of the steak wasn't good at all. We won't be back. There are plenty of other places to go that are much better. We don't mind spending the money if the food and service is good.

   We have been here before and loved it but it had been a while. We decided to go back, then I read some of the bad reviews, and almost decided to go elsewhere but thought, nah, I want to see if its really that bad now. Honestly, it was great! We had an early reservation (5:45) and arrived around 5:40. We walked in the door and was seated immediately. They weren't very busy for a Friday night, I'm assuming because of some of the recent negative reviews. The staff was very friendly, our appetizer (bacon wrapped shrimp) was awesome and whatever they gave us to spread on our bread was next level! I ordered a ribeye cooked medium, and my wife ordered the boneless grilled chicken breast and both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly! We both ordered the garlic mashed potatoes loaded and the reviews were spot on with this though... They were bad, but with a lot of salt and some pepper they were edible. Mesquite Chophouse, y'all have to fix this!!! Potatoes aren't hard to make... Like at all! No flavor and they really did make us wonder if they were instant. Not to mention it cost me an extra $8 just to have them as my side. A steak should come with a side, but anyways, our experience was excellent! I would recommend maybe trying to beat the crowd if you plan on dining here, it worked out great for us! Also, the chefs name is Blair, I think, and he gave me the best steak a restaurant has given me in a long time!!! Good job bro! I hope management has started working out some of the issues other customers had but we didn't have any problems tonight! Thank you guys for an awesome experience and date night!!!

   Service: Our server, Camille, provided outstanding service. She was highly knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations, and ensured our dining experience was seamless by checking on us frequently. Additionally, her engaging and professional demeanor made for a warm and welcoming experience. Food: For appetizers, my partner opted for the Wild Game Experience, which featured duck, elk, and bison. Each meat was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The dish earned a 9.5/10, with the only minor critique being the expected “gamey” aftertaste of the duck. I selected the crab cakes, which were enjoyable, though not as exceptional as the wild game. I would rate them a 7/10. The highlight of the evening, however, was the steaks. I ordered the 14 oz. New York Strip with a loaded baked potato. It had been a while since I had an exceptional steak, and this one did not disappoint. Cooked to a flawless medium, it was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and required no additional seasoning or sauce—an indication of a truly great steak. Without hesitation, I rate it 20/10. The baked potato, while flavorful, was not as hot as I would have preferred, so I would give it a 7.5/10. My partner ordered the 14 oz. Ribeye, which he also rated 20/10. Cooked to a perfect medium with a beautifully executed crust, it was one of the best steaks he has had in a long time. However, the mashed potatoes he ordered as a side were underwhelming, earning a 5/10. Chef Acknowledgment: During our meal, Camille informed us that Blair was the chef responsible for preparing our dishes. We had heard/read great reviews about him beforehand and were delighted to experience his culinary expertise firsthand. From the duck, elk, and bison to our perfectly cooked steaks, his craftsmanship was evident! Cooking such a variety of meats to perfection is no small feat, and Blair exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to him, Blair. Overall, 9.5/10!

   The hostess are young & rude! Everyone came in separate & experienced the same rude face, cocky greeting issue. French 75⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crab dip ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cajun pasta, chicken Alfredo, ribs eye, mash potatoes DRY & horribly seasoned. Would not recommend. Would not go again. Overpriced. Long Horn would’ve satisfied me. FYI; this was my birthday dinner. Special request at reservation booking was not honored!!!

   Location…excellent! Staff…amazing! Ambiance…10 out of 10🤩 Food…so good I can’t wait to return! Overall my husband and I marked Mesquite as a favorite and looking forward to returning.

   Our waitress was amazing. She was very helpful and friendly. It didn’t take long for our food to arrive to our table. Everything was good perfectly.
