Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business. You can expect great tapas and some amazing, well-priced Spanish wines, served in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere.
We have an outside terrace with heaters and umbrellas but of course, we can't promise the weather! If you book outside we can't guarantee a table inside if the weather changes.
For those unable to eat-in, we offer our famous Paellas for takeaway at lunchtime Monday-Friday.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to welcoming you soon to this little bit of Spain in Waterloo.

We are halfway along The Cut, the busy thoroughfare that links Waterloo Road to Blackfriars Road, just five minutes walk from Waterloo main line and Northern line underground stations (Take Old Vic exit from Waterloo Station). We are also near Southwark station, Jubilee line. The Young Vic theatre is opposite us and The Old Vic just along the road.

Always a joy to get a table at Meson Don Felipe - right opposite The Young Vic, so that we can have exceptionally good food before or after exceptionally good theatre and today was no different. Lovely menu for people who eat from all different food groups and all with an authentic Spanish taste. Do yourself a favour, try it if you haven’t already and book another table if you have !

We’re sorry to say that we were disappointed. Apart from a dish of delicious mushrooms, the food was bland, lacking in flavour and appeared to us to be somewhat mass produced. It wasn’t what we expected given the description of a family run restaurant specialising in tasty tapas. Perhaps it was just us ‘though. The small space was crowded and noisy with a steady flow of people coming and going, so clearly others like it. But not for us, I’m afraid.

Good food and wine and friendly service. Highly recommend the chicken livers also the beans with almonds.

I hadn't been to Meson Don Felipe for quite a few years. Food was very good and the service very good despite it being very busy. Food was reasonably priced.

First visit for a business lunch. The atmosphere and decor were good. Staff greeting was friendly and helpful. Service was relaxed and perhaps could have been more attentive but OK. The menu is interesting and the food was very good. There were two of us and we shared the carilleras, chorizo, croquetas de bacalao, & patatas bravas - all delicious! Reasonably priced.
