Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business. You can expect great tapas and some amazing, well-priced Spanish wines, served in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere.
We have an outside terrace with heaters and umbrellas but of course, we can't promise the weather! If you book outside we can't guarantee a table inside if the weather changes.
For those unable to eat-in, we offer our famous Paellas for takeaway at lunchtime Monday-Friday.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to welcoming you soon to this little bit of Spain in Waterloo.

    We are halfway along The Cut, the busy thoroughfare that links Waterloo Road to Blackfriars Road, just five minutes walk from Waterloo main line and Northern line underground stations (Take Old Vic exit from Waterloo Station). We are also near Southwark station, Jubilee line. The Young Vic theatre is opposite us and The Old Vic just along the road.

                                                                                    Love this place, food always great. Wasn’t as busy today and even though quiet service wasn’t as good as normal. 2hrs eating didn’t get asked if the food was OK or if we wanted another drink.

                                                                                    Early pre theatre dinner so restaurants was pretty empty. Pretty indifferent welcome “That’s your table over there”. Food service prompt and food itself tasty and good portions.

                                                                                    All a bit manic. Noise levels very high but could hear the one I was with. Missed one dish and took several requests to deliver water. One dish overcooked and the prawns with garlic was very light on the garlic.

                                                                                    going back to Don Felipe is like going back home except that home was never like this. The food is good - impossible to pick one favourite - the wine list is interesting and the service is always good. They know when to ask if you want more and when to just let you enjoy your meal.

                                                                                    Love Meson Don Felipe. The food is delicious. Lovely wine (super rose recommendation). Great ambiance and service (even when we messed up the order on one dish). There’s a reason we keep coming back here! 10/10.

                                                                                    The dishes were more of a racion than tapas. I ordered several dishes, the Tortilla Española was disappointing as the potatoes were grey and unappetising. Also the Patatas Bravas looked like they have been fired several times and were burnt. I did enjoy the Sardinas Fritas and Pan con tomate. I found it difficult to get the attention of the staff when I wanted more drinks and to order dessert. I eventually went to the bar to settle my bill as I couldn’t get the attention of the staff.
