Meso, meaning “middle,” is a modern Mediterranean restaurant and bar that celebrates the art of living well. An oasis located in the heart of Santana Row, Meso offers daily dinner service, with lunch and weekend brunch offered from 11:30 to 2:30 pm.

The menu, overseen by Chef/Partner Roland Passot, brings together the iconic flavors of the Mediterranean basin, offering guests a delicious journey through the region’s collective culinary culture. Food was amazing. The Chile Relleno and octopus are highlights. Also the trio starter with the red beet labneh. Omar is an awesome server!

We were celebrating a birthday and had two children with us. Our host, JC, promptly sat us with brunch and children’s menus. We were offered still or sparkling water immediately and received it a few minutes later. Our food came out all together, despite us ordering a flatbread, which can take a little longer. Everything was served hot and was delicious. Empty plates all around! Both the General Manager and Bar Manager stopped by to check on our meal, and the bar manager, Karlton, offered us a preview of the upcoming fall cocktails, a beet and rosemary margarita. You HAVE to come try this once it hits the menu.

Some items like Falafel bites were a hit. The Shakshuka flatbread was a miss. The restaurant felt understaffed as it took us long time each time we had to interact with the staff. Given the price it was a let down

Fun restaurant for large parties. Food was well received and cocktails were well mixed. Plenty of options too.

Wagyu kebab was unfortunately terrible. Those in our party who had the branzino enjoyed it.

Service was slow and food was not flavorful. Additionally, the table next to us wasn’t cleaned for 90% of the duration of our meal

I was very disappointed with the service and the lack of attentiveness from the server. The host was sitting at the front desk when I walked in and would not even get up to greet a customer. When we were leaving, they were chatting among the employees and would not even say thank you. We ordered an appetizer, which was not served before the main dish, so we canceled the appetizer. I used to like this restaurant, but I do not think it's worth it. It is very overpriced, and this poor service does not justify it.

I had a really high hopes for this place, we were very excited and looking forward to it. We did have a reservation but it was not needed, it was not busy, I counted no more than seven tables with small parties inside and no more than that outside. Our drinks came relatively quick and were very tasty!!! Both the mock-tails and cocktails are definitely highlight and get a solid 4 stars. For appetizers we had three dips and falafel balls. Both were very tasty and while they were on the smaller side of portions, they worked great for a party of three. We did not get consistent attention from the waiter as a matter fact we consistently had someone different coming up to the table. I had a question about one of the items on the menu, I’m not one to feel offended or embarrassed easily, but I did feel a little embarrassed because apparently I’m supposed to know that branzino is a type of fish 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’ve now done my research and learned, it’s the equivalent of European sea bass, you’re welcome 😉 The sausage risotto was OK nothing felt special and a little too sweet for our taste. The potato gnocchi had no flavor, I do mean no flavor, we even wondered if they had finished the dish. We were super bummed about the dish because we love gnocchi, there was no salt or pepper on the table so I took sauce from the fish dish and stirred it in. The highlight was definitely the branzino a la plancha it’s really the only reason I would come back besides the drinks. We were celebrating a birthday so we finished with the pistachio Panna cotta and fig chocolate cake. Both were very light and tasty. Towards the end of our meal, a young lady began to help us. She was very kind and had great energy. Overall, it was not a negative experience however, I was hoping for more.
