Le restaurant original de Peter Merriman, le Merriman's Waimea, est situé au cœur de la communauté agricole de Big Islands. Pourquoi nous l'aimons

At his namesake restaurant, chef-owner and farm-to-table evangelist Peter Merriman sources most of his ingredients from local farmers and producers. Expect American dishes with Hawaiian accents, like spicy Kona lobster ravioli and a poke plate with fresh wasabi grated tableside. Add in an award-winning wine list and a charming, plant-dressed dining room, and you’ve got all the essentials for a special night out.

    For Thanksgiving Day 2024, Merriman's will be doing an upgraded version of our prefix menu! In addition to the offerings of our Taste of Waimea prefix menu, we will be offering seasonal dishes and of course a traditional Turkey Dinner! Just like our regular menu, we will have three terrific courses with a huge variety of local seafood, meat and produce. The price will be $115 per person, or $45 for Keiki. We hope to see you in November! Our menu will be posted on the our website in the next few weeks. Please note, credit cards are only taken online to hold reservations. Cards are not charged at the time of booking. Payment is taken at the restaurant, as normal.

    Salad was great, but could have been bigger. Tacos were amazing, as was the bread pudding!!

    Phenomenal meal! Service was fantastic, drinks were amazing and the food was outstanding. The best we had on the island. Highly recommend dining here while visiting big island!

    Every time I’m on the Big Island, I have come here at least once. The dinner last night was Amazing! The macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi was melt in your mouth. The Mai Tais are the best ever and the service was great.

    Amazing food, drink, service, and inner-ambiance. Not a place for sunset (like the coast), but a cute town and all you’ll be thinking about is everything inside the 4 walls. Fantastic menu options, and yet everything about the place is approachable.

    The Sunday brunch here is a great option. We had an anniversary brunch. The Kalua Pig Eggs Benedict was excellent and the cooked to order Kalua Pig Hash was so amazing! Try the banana bread as an appetizer- you won’t be sorry. Every trip to Merriman’s is an excellent experience from start to finish.

    My wife and I had been looking forward to our trip for 26 years. This was our first meal on the Bog Island and we had a lot of expectations. Merriman’s delivered on those expectations and vastly exceeded them. Our server Joslynne was super. Friendly, knowledgeable and a great explainer. We tried the tomato salad and the cucumber salad for starters. They were AMAZING. The flavors came together with care like music in my mouth. For the main course, we had the chateaubriand while splitting a side of the mushroom pot pie. Every morsel of the beans, potatoes, gravy and beef was perfection itself The light flaky crust of the pot pie was almost creamy once you had the initial crunch. The mushrooms inside were flavorful but definitely not overly so. For dessert, we had the chocolate purse. It was delicate and delicious and most importantly, not too much nor too little. We also had dark roast Kona coffee that was excellent. My wife enjoyed a daiquiri that she said was phenomenal. I had the 14 year old Orban Scotch and it was wonderful. We also each had a mai tai. They had a creamy macadamia topping on them that was to die for. Highly recommend.
