Le Chef et propriétaire Peter Merriman a transféré sa version de la cuisine régionale hawaïenne dans la station de Kapalua, une magnifique adresse au bord de l'océan. Il utilise uniquement des produits frais dont 90 % ou plus sont produits ou pêchés localement à l'aide de méthodes durables. Peter a toujours été un précurseur dans le concept de « ferme à la table ». Tous les aliments sont préparés de manière à mettre en valeur leur saveur naturelle. Le personnel est fort sympathique pour vous garantir une expérience culinaire incroyable. Leur connaissance des aliments est sans pareil dans le milieu de la restauration. Le restaurant bénéficie d'un emplacement idéal au cœur de la station, juste au bord de l'eau, là où les plus spectaculaires couchers de soleil peuvent être observés depuis son bar à vins. Vous pourrez en outre profiter d'une carte des vins variée qui a récemment été récompensée de 2 verres par le Wine Spectator Magazine.

Food and service was very good. It was Windy and cold. They did give the ladies a Shawl to keep warm. 4% added to bill for kitchen staff after a 20% tip

Miguel was very knowledgeable in the menu and cocktails. He took time to answer any questions and his energy was incredible along with his passion. The ambiance along with his exceptional service, made the end of our two week stay in Maui very memorable!! Cannot say enough of this menu and all wait staff!! 5 Stars ALL around!!!

Our waitress Lisa made the visit back to merrimans after so many years that much more special.

It’s expensive. Sitting at the bar for dinner was loud and the server who brought our Caesar salads scampered away before adding the anchovies to the salad. The bartender was helpful in getting the anchovies from the kitchen. Food was delicious and well prepared. If service is important to you book a table.

Everything about Merrimen’s is first rate. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating, the service is great and the food from start to finish is outstanding. It’s definitely a splurge, but you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

In general at the restaurant is outstanding however it is quite loud and difficult to hold a conversation

It was windy but the staff moved fast to shield us all before it rained. It was perfect as always - I think our guests were delighted!

We were seated in an outside area, under a cabana for dinner. The sunset was beautiful even in somewhat cloudy weather. The service team was great but the food was not. Some good of our fish dishes were overly dry. Our vegetarian meal was not very flavorful and the crudités were dried as it f they’d been prepped a day ago. We’ve been here on several other occasions, the last one was in 2023, and we weren’t overly impressed then but gave it a try because we felt everyone was still struggling from Covid shutdowns. We probably won’t return because although the setting is fantastic, the food is not for the price.

Fantastic dinner. Beautiful view. I have not been in a restaurant with this detail to service without feeling like I was in a stuffy or snobby restaurant. The food was amazing. Definitely going back again.
