Le Chef et propriétaire Peter Merriman a transféré sa version de la cuisine régionale hawaïenne dans la station de Kapalua, une magnifique adresse au bord de l'océan. Il utilise uniquement des produits frais dont 90 % ou plus sont produits ou pêchés localement à l'aide de méthodes durables. Peter a toujours été un précurseur dans le concept de « ferme à la table ». Tous les aliments sont préparés de manière à mettre en valeur leur saveur naturelle.     I took my father here for his 86th birthday. The views were spectacular. All the little attentions to detail were immensely appreciated —right down to the menus which were printed with a special happy birthday wish for him. My father and I both loved our meals, and our waiter was very knowledgeable. I was torn between the 4-5 star rating only because my mother can be a little more difficult to impress, but think she was feeling slightly under the weather which might explain why her taste was a little off. So far as I am concerned (a New Yorker btw) everything was top notch. My sashimi special was fantastic. My dad loved his seared ahi. The house special Mai Tai’s were extra yummy with the addition of the fizz — such a novel and fun twist on an island favorite. I’d def recommend for special outings!

    The restaurant is very stylish and popular. We ate dinner at the bar. Our bartender, Robert, was delightful. The food and drink were excellent. I had the wok-cooked Ahi with scallion rice which was delicious and my wife had a killer dish of shrimp and clams...very yummy. We had an excellent Riesling suggested by the Som. For dessert we had their famous Mai Tai which is the same at their sister restaurant, Monkey Pod. They make the best Mai Tais on Maui. The bar seats are very comfortable. If you want to sit outside, make a reservation at least a couple of weeks in advance.

    My husband and I had an outstanding meal with excellent service. The setting and view was spectacular. So beautiful. Would highly recommend do not miss.

    The only disappointment in the evening was my own fault for making a reservation after sunset. Everything was wonderful, but I’m sad we didn’t get to enjoy the view with our dinner.

    A must go! But with that said u need do know a area things: First and it kinda is ish have use their valets. 20.00$$ for nothing and it actually makes it harder to get in and out! Next we had a reservation but folks who didn’t still got in and managed to grab great seats. Service from the back was a very big issue and drinks take from 15-30 minutes.. next time I will order from the bar not my server. The food while small was really top ! Hard to beat!!! Music was great !! Way too loud but awesome. Our server was great! Slow but great!

    Excellent food, easily some of the best you’ll find on Maui. Equally excellent service. The food came very quickly.

    This was our first time to Merriman's. First impression was very positive, we love valet parking, but it could have used more signage telling us what we needed to do. The Hostess was very personable and friendly, and we were seated quickly. Other than the noise level, it was a very pleasant experience. An example of the noise, there was live music, and while we could hear the music, I didn't know they were singing along with the guitar. We were a party of four. The food was exceptional, we had the fish special, the scallops and clams, and the pork shank. We all raved about the food. The proteins were tender and seasoned well. My husband had the scallops and a couple of them had a bit of grit still, but over all it was a great dish. Our waiter was busy, but always very friendly and attentive. We would definitely go back next time we're in Maui, and highly recommend it to anyone in the future.
