D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le LA Times a qualifié Peter Merriman « d'Alice Waters de l'aloha » en raison de la réputation de longue date du chef à promouvoir l'utilisation d'ingrédients locaux. Chez Merriman's, qui a ouvert ses portes sur la Grande Île en 1988, cela se traduit par des classiques hawaïens remis au goût du jour, comme le mahi mahi en croûte de noix de macadamia et le falafel de taro. Le groupe est présent sur quatre îles depuis 2018, et le dernier d'entre eux, à Honolulu, se distingue par son sol vert et blanc et ses motifs inspirés de la jungle.

All of Peter Merriman's restaurants share a common mission statement: Do the Right Thing! Every member of the staff is taught to respect the `aina (land) that feeds and the people who produce the food, to be proud in their work, and to take responsibility for making sure every customer has a memorable dining experience.

Excellent food, professional and friendly wait staff, food (fish) prepared exactly as requested..coffee far surpasses Starbuck's for taste and quality...always a great place to dine anytime but especially nice place to take out-of-town guests. Menu (lunch) appears to have been pared down a little but still many great choices. Highly recommend. george

We sat outside as the temperature was perfect. In doing so, the noise level was perfect and we had lovely local music to listen to. The food was beyond AMAZING! I was blown away, and I even ordered dessert, which I never do. The service was impeccable and our server, Ka’i was an absolute professional, which made our dining experience even better. I can’t wait to tell everyone to try this beautiful restaurant and for my family to return and eat there again. Thanks for making our last night truly special! Mahalo.

I’ve heard the rumors that Merrimans was a good choice to dine out so I’ve now tried it twice. The food, ambiance, wait staff and energy is well worth the experience! Excellent in every way and one of the better choices in town to chill and enjoy good company with great food! Good job guys! Well done!

Loved the live music! (Piano and clarinet…sounded great!). And we were able to order a salad with fish, which was ono…it was amazing!

Love the Round Table for Birthday Get to gether! Everyone was included for every conversation, what is so important for all of us. Good serve, nice atmosphere. Lunch menu was too small, specifically for vegetarians. Little pricey for locals

Came with our out of town family members for a birthday celebration brunch lunch. Our waiter ignored us and spent extra time at all the tables around us. Never offered us drink refills, dishes sat around while he chatted with his co workers, and every other table in the section. We waited 25 minutes to pay the bill. It’s disappointing when your bill is less than you intended because the staff can’t be bothered to check on you. We very much enjoyed the food and amibiance.

Sat night: very busy - waited a long time for main course and even longer, for dessert. Impossibly noisy , live solo musician with recorded accompaniment both inside and outside on the patio. No place for conversation.

I was greeted by a friendly young woman, who seated me once she saw my reservations. I had a very quiet table outside so my guest and I could have a wonderful evening. Our waiter John did an exceptional job, and made all of us feel welcomed. His recommendation were spot on and each of us had a great meal. Food was exceptional! Always a pleasure dining at this wonderful establishment.
