Originally opened in 2012 on Roger Williams in Ravinia, Merlo's Italian Restaurant is BACK! Now situated on bustling Vernon Avenue in the heart of Glencoe, this family owned restaurant has the same traditional Italian style dishes & vibe you remember in a new and exciting location of our home town.

Come in and enjoy the warm atmosphere as a family, a couple or with friends. Our menu features all of your classic favorites, some contemporary additions, daily fish specials, as well as delicious salads, vegetarian & gluten free options and as always, crowd pleasing desserts. Whether coming in for a meal or sitting at the bar for a drink, we will ensure an energy that you will feel welcome in and want to return to.

Reservation was at 6:15, we arrived early and was brought right to our table, waiter was very helpful in decision making and food was excellent!!

Absolutely wonderful. Such a relief from the noisy, hyped restaurant across the street. A quiet but fun atmosphere. Rather intimate. Great menu and wine list. Our server was great getting us to the pla in time without making us feel rushed. Our first time, but not our last. Will make it our go-to for Writers nights. And more.

Our food was delicious. Our server was very good. The noise level was way too high. Music to loud. Otherwise very good.

This wasn’t what I was expecting. I ordered fish and it was served on the cool side. Not at all warm even. My daughter got the steak; eh…nothing to brag about. She definitely didn’t like the fries; me either. So the service and presentation was top notch; food not so much. Sorry but that’s how we feel.
